You can also wait a while, HTC already has a whole new line up of android smartphones which will be released probably quite soon.
HTC Pyramid (dualcore Android)
HTC Desire 2
And some facebook phones

As for DHD vs Incredible S, it's almost the same.
DHD somewhat more memory, less battery power, and incredible s probably longer support because it's a newer phone.

Desire HD surely a sick phone, seen on lots of forums that u cant get trough a day with its battery, thats class.

considering i have the phone and even under massive usage throughout the day I only manage to get it down to around 20%.

Average days it goes down to around 50-60% with an average amount of use, surfing the net, apps, etc.
