LAN's
I am writing this the day after arriving from HCC#2, at which we played under the name LIAYF. We had one mixer (our old friend Lint) to replace pehmis as he had no money to pay for the event. Our main goal was to get out of groups at which we succeeded, and our overall LAN performance was good (for first-timers, me and saku have only been mixing for other teams at the past LANS, HCC#1 and ESPC). We got out of groups but lost to CKRAS in the first play-off round, 7-13 on Strike and same on Citystreets.

About the team
As you might have noticed, 4 of us have been in ETEK. The team was made during the Fall 2010 and folded during the Christmas holiday due to inactivity. Then, about a month later we decided to start again with one new add to the lineup; pehmis joined and "replaced" sande, who was the fifth in ETEK. The team was called leaners and later on, after being accepted to the old #cod.academy, we joined a Finnish organization called MIPC. We decided to go our separate ways for the Summer 2011, mainly playing other games or just not playing at all. After the summer we regrouped once again and started under a yet unknown name that has varied a lot, some of the names: MMM, LIAYF, BAUSS etc...We had been quite inactive until we decided to go to HCC#2 but had some arguments and a week before the LAN, when we were finally ready to pay, pehmis told us he wasn't able to come there due to money issues. We took in Lint and despite the fact we couldn't practise much for the LAN I think we did quite well.

Why we should get in
There is no such reason as "needing to prepare for a LAN" at the moment as there are no LANs to look for, at least none that I'd know about (which would be suitable for us Finns). We decided to finally apply to #cod.academy because now we want to be even more serious and professional and joining all the possible channels and leagues is the best way to go further to reach our main goal at the moment; joining #cod.preinvite. We were able to start playing Cybergamer just a bit before the LAN and it seems fine despite some errors we've found during the time spent there. Long story short, we want to be able to find decent level matches from various sources, as Cybergamer doesn't feel reliable enough to play 3 or more matches a night on and we feel like treating it more like the official match source. We are also looking for an organization now that could support us during our journey. We are active, enthusiastic and eager to improve and we feel we are easily on the reguired skill level to join the channel. And believe me or re-check our history, we won't be folding like 90% of the teams applying.
