i have NEVER EVER understood this 'too much power' shit, at the end of the day, unless your paying your electiricity bill, who gives a shit if you have a 10,000w PSU, it doesnt harm your system having too much power, so fuck it. if you have the money WHY THE FUCK NOT!!!
Its not about too much power, its about saving money actually. Ofc the 750W psu wont run at 750w on idle, it's not about that, having a big psu is fine if you have money for it, the thing is people often spend too much money on parts and we are just giving advice on saving money
