Hi guys,
I'm looking for new laptop. Divorced parents..
I was looking at this one, because there is a promotion at Dixons NL:
HP Dv6-6b14ed
Intel Core i7-2670QM (2.2GHz, 6MB L3)
(15.6 ") HD BrightView LED (1366 x 768)
8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3
640GB SATA 5400 rpm
AMD Radeon HD 6770M 2GB
Beats Audio
€849,-
1. Do you think this is a good offer?
2. Will i get 250 FPS steady?
3. Will i be able to play any game i want on high settings?
I searching all over the internet, but i just can't find the right one for me.
1. I travel daily to school ( Take my laptop to school every day )
2. Would like to play games on med/high settings, especially Call of duty 4 Promod
3. A max of €850,-
If this HP is not the right one for me, can someone suggest a better laptop for me?
Many thanks!

And unless you spend something like £1600+ you aren't going to be able to play any game you like on high. You know in-fact i'd expect you'd need £2000+ to do this.

Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU P8700 @ 2.53GHz
4GB Ram
GeForce 9100M G
1280x720 Resolution @ Call of duty
something like a GT683DX would be perfect, GT683 is closer to your budget
why do you need a laptop in the first place?

I've given him advice on other threads too, but instead of doing simple research he's expecting to be spoon fed information. There are way too many people like this on this forum. Google has many more sources for information than I do, so it's logical to check that first.
Dell XPS 15 (n00x5m11)
2nd i7-2670QM 2.20GHZ with turbo boost to 3.10 GHZ
8GB RAM
750GB ( 7200 RPM )
Nvidia GT 540M 2 GB
40 cm(15.6") HD WLED TL (1366x768) 720p
€779,-
250 Steady @ Cod4 Promod?
And btw laptops just arent meant for games and ur gna have a different experience comparing to desktop no matter what. So you cant rly expect from a laptop to play on HD full detail....
It will run COD4 at 125 most likely, but 250 is pushing it.
If you could possibly up your budget a little you'll find something alot better
