National ESL is the American equivalent of the ESL you're all familiar with. That being said, we're posting this here because there are some American teams that actively play this game, but only know of Tek-9 as the Call of Duty hub. Keeping that in mind, please avoid flaming this.
The first CoD4 event will occur this Sunday, April 3rd, 2011. It will be a 2 night 16 team Night Cup. Next weekend a 32 team Cup will be hosted, so on and so forth. Our ladders for 5v5 SD and 2v2 HQ are live as well. Expect a 2v2 HQ Cup over the next week or two.
In a month we'll be opening up our 5v5 SD League so get on board and get ready to go. NESL is running full blast at CoD4, and our commitment to bolstering it in North America is greater than ever.
BlackOps is still going on, however, when each successive patch has actually lowered the max fps many people can get, and when mod tools STILL haven't come out, players are doing one of two things, moving to other games (or back to cod4), or thinking - delusionally I might add - that Brink will be a good game (it won't).
Ladder maps are different than what we're offering in cups / league. Vacant's always been included along with the usual 5. Pipeline / overgrown have been used as well. The ladder is meant to attract teams that are still new to competing, and therefore has a wider selection of maps than what will actually be used.
Right, and MLG is the equivalent to Korea's GSL.
League's pretty solid in the game's its already had. CoD4 coming back will only improve that.
Also what happened to Black Ops tought ug uys were going for that to get it in IEm LOLOLOL
