JOIN THE GAME?

Hi guys, It has been a very long time since I last played CoD WaW ( about 2 years ago) and now I decided to try myself out in the game. I want someone to inform me about the latest happenings in the game ( mods available, if the game is still alive etc) because I have no idea anymore.
