Just think, when Promod Live 3 is released you could rerelase your map with the exact same name and just add some curtains, change some yellow walls to white walls, recolor the lighting/fog and then charge 3 bucks per head for it.
"Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package Map Details
Upcoming map pack contains five maps total, two from Call of Duty 4.
US, March 13, 2010 - Details about Infinity Ward's upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 map pack, titled the Stimulus Package, has been posted on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace website. This download contains five maps in total, two of which appeared in the first Modern Warfare title.
This pack will be available to download on Xbox LIVE starting on March 30. PS3 and PC owners will have to wait a bit longer. No price for the content was listed.
Here are the map descriptions:
Bailout - a multi-level apartment complex
Storm - an open industrial park littered with heavy machinery
Salvage - a snowy junkyard fortified by stacked debris and crushed cars.
Crash - a war-torn urban environment (CoD4)
Overgrown - features a massive dry creek bed (CoD4)"
MW2 maps are shocking anyway. they are "un original" and are flawed in so many ways. Bring out new ones will only make the problem worse, besides does anyone actualy bother with the variety map pack for CoD4?
>overgrown
>crash
>two new shitty mw2 maps
crash isn't worth $15... if i were to pay for dlc for this game i'd buy it only if it included strike, backlot and citystreets; for me these are the 3 staples maps of cod4.
I should have stated that I was speaking in a hypothetical manner. The last IW-developed Activision-published game I bought was CoD4. Despite the fact that someone gifted me MW2, I am not intending to buy anything published by Activision in the near or distant future, including DLC.
Do what IW would.
Hold it back 3 months, colour your guns in. Then charge £45 each.

So they are taking maps from there old game, and re-releasing them as paid content.
Which marketing genious overdosed on the happy pills over at Activision.
When someone explains IW that PC is not Xbox or PS3, that we have to buy new stuff for the game?
