Specs:
Dual Core E2200 @ 3.06GHz
4GB Ram
ATi Radeon HD4870 (not sure whether it's 512MB or 1GB, does it make a lot of diff.?)
Windows 7 Ultimate 32Bit
I get 125 constant all the time.
I get 250 sometimes, in plain spots, but never ever constant.
Anything else you need to know?

try setting it to 2.8 or so

cpu should be fine when it's running at 3GHz.
try to get a better config or lower your graphics. What resolution are you playing on?

I get 250 stable in quite a lot of places, but even using yitch3 doesn't solve the case. I'm guessing it's cause I don't have the 1gb version oooor?

And since you have ultimate, Uninstall 32-bit and install 64-bit, Wont cost you anything and will increase your performance
That cpu should be able to handle cod4 since cod4 isn't that cpu dependant

Your overclock is elementary school with only 400 mhz on an i7 that easily reaches 4,2 ghz
Was aiming that comment towards naarK with his almost 1 ghz and i wanted to see where hes stuck because that one can be taken up to 4 ghz on air =)

but eh, you got the right drivers for your setup ?
Ether bad Overclock, bad CPU, or bad settings somewhere.
If you are confident it isnt your settings ingame and in windows. Then check your CPU, and overclocks. Try stock speeds again, and google around to see if people can get 250 fps stable using that CPU. If all that is fine. Maybe its something else, like you have a defect GPU, or your mobo isnt that great.
ATI Graphics = Fail tbh for these FPS games :)
Love their prices, but its not the best choice.
If he's overclocks are bad he would have freezes, BSOD and crashes...

+Try your res on 1024x768
+Maybe push your cpu a little more
and you should get 250 nice on all maps
