Well, in order to get a better sound when playing cod, u can simply record the in-game sound (especially footsteps) and then watch the bar graph with the different frequencies in the media player. According to the various heights of the bars, u can adjust your equalizer settings and thus it's way easier to hear and locate people. :]
svm is fucking annoying, its bad enough listenin for footsteps with people talking on vent letalone if it makes my game go really quiet whenever somebody speaks

CMSS should be OFF in Cod4 shoudnt be ? cuz cod4 already has directional sound

-all treble frequencies (1k->16k) to maximum
-all bass frequencies (31-250) to minimum
and you're pretty much set.
