FPS Fluctuations

maybe its pb, maybe its one of your components
make your own listend server with Pb disabled, maybe even temporaly move your pb folder out of the cod4 folder
pb_system 0, all set, go.

i have a NASA pc and mine still does that so its game

does it do the same at lan? i.e no pb

i cant even reach 250 omfg

same^^ thinking of buying anew processor cause my gfx card is actually decent, its a 9600gt

its pb

if i connect to a server i get 250 fps ,and every 2 seconds it drops to 150 for a millisecond,but thats enough to feel laggy.
lucky me it goes away after a minute or 2.

Ever since the latest version of promod for me, used to be fine on promod 3

I think the 250-248 drop is same as the 250 lock on cod2.

drops like 248-250-252-246-254-250 are a COD4 thing, and most of people have it.

PB lagg is like 250-150-248-250-140-250.


248-250-252-246-254-250 is normal like 250 in cod2

it's the game with the lowest graphisms and reso (try if u want) u have it too...

have the exact same problem

get the same problem, tried running at 125 instead and it still goes down to 123 instead of lock, doensnt do it all the time but when it does... considering its only a few fps dropping its amazing how laggy and unsmooth it makes the game feel

Well at CiC7 i had 250 constant no droppings, online i got the same problem (Not cus my pc is bad). Its just because Punkbuster is wank and lags like hell. In pb-off servers my FPS is pretty constant!

i get drops like this all the time posted a forum on it while back got a pretty good set up but still happens so put it down to pb lagg but got a m8 that doesnt get it like i do im just wondering what u guys get in the brackets because mine goes crazy from time to time (37-1000,1) something like that whereas at points it will be smooth (250-250,0) :S

120hz > 75hz !!!!

Try windows7, it's a lot smoother and almost always constant 250(on phenom 2 945 @ stock). XP was always flickering, at least for me. The weird thing is - it can hold around 500 or more fps everywhere but 250 is still fluctuating(well it's not so noticeable really). If I change maxfps to 125 it doesn't move at all, so I guess if you use an i7 high-end cpu(plus some good overclock) you could be able to achieve 250 [250-250].

i got the same problem,

its just the pb. becouse when i play on lan, my fps is much better or more stable.
and i think there is nothing u can do about it :)
