www.cybergamer.org Tutorial
Cybergamer is the best place to play Call of Duty 4 if you're a casual or competitive player. Here are the basics you need to know to get started and understand the site.
How does CG work?
-There are 3 important linked divisons that have 8 week seasons.
CGinvite
CGmain
CGamateur
- They work just like football league systems do - you have to win promotion to get to the top league. Teams in CGi and CGm play set matches per week and CGi has cash prizes
(€1500)
- Every new team starts and plays CGa. Teams can join anytime during the season. The CGa is an ELO rated ladder, meaning you can play often but points gained depends on the other team's own points. At the end of the season 5 teams are promoted and the ladder is reset.
CGo mix ladder is an open ladder. Meaning the ladder is intended for mixes of players from different teams to have fun. Players can be in a maximum of 3 teams in the open ladder.
There are 3 steps to getting started. You can also view this video:

1. Sign up and create your team
- Go to
www.cybergamer.org Once you've signed up on the website you'll notice the
Smartbar at the bottom of the screen. You use this bar for most things on the website.
-Use
Quick Links to see options. Use that to see your teams and
create a new team .
-To add members to your team go to your team's page through
Quick Links .
-Scroll down and you will see members. Click
Edit members to add new members. You need
5 members to join a ladder and play.
2.Join the CGa ladder
-Go to Games->Call of Duty 4-> CGa and then click Join Ladder (it takes 10-15minutes to process your request).
3. Finding a match
-You can now look for a game. Use the
LF Scrim/Match option on the
Smartbar and click view options to choose your team.
-Notice the option
ladder yes highlighted red in the picture. This means teams are looking for a ladder game. If you do not mark your team as ready then teams will think you are looking for a scrim/pcw.
-You can mark your team ready for a ladder match by going to the ladder page or your team page. Your team page is accessible via Quick Links and the ladder page via Games->Call of Duty 4.
You need to be a captain or founder to make your team ready or challenge teams.
-Simply message players under contact to ask them for a match. Look for teams around the same rank as you. Much higher ranked teams than you may say no.
-You can either challenge them or they challenge you. To challenge a team you can go onto their team page by clicking on their team name, or via the ladder page.
-Once the challenge is accepted you will need to
make sure you have the anti cheat TZAC installed . Check the rules on how to install and run it:
www.cybergamer.org/pc/cod4/ladder/rules/
-When that's done make sure you've read all the rules.
-You can either use the server in the match details page, or your own. If you're new to CG, we advise you to use the CG server offered.
-When you're finished you can fill in the score on the bottom left of the match page. Use the
Notifications option on the
Smartbar to quickly access the match.
FAQ:
How do I get my GUID onto my profile?
GUIDs automatically link to your profile via your IP address when you play on a CG listed server. Servers are scanned once every hour by CG. You can add your own server or check the list by going
http://www.cybergamer.org/addserver.php?game=cod4 . If you want to learn more about how it works go to this
http://www.cybergamer.org/forums/thread/260161/GUIDS-Information/ . If you have problems getting your GUID onto your profile click Support at the top of Cybergamer and make a ticket with your GUID included. To find your GUID manually go onto a punkbuster server and type pb_myguid in the console.
What is a scrim?
A scrim is the same as a pcw. Both mean that you're looking for a practice game with no points at stake. These are best for warmups. The best practice you can get however is always a ladder match as both teams are doing their utmost to win. If you're not looking for a ladder game by making your team ready, you're looking for a scrim.
What are TURBO match times?
Turbo match times are designed for games you find quickly and want to play straight away. These times are called TURBO and are used the most for teams as they look for matches.
I'm using the CG server shown in match options, but how do I change map?
Use the Promod voting options in the promod menu to initiate a vote to change the map.
I have a CG problem that I need help with, where do I go?
You can create a support ticket by clicking Support at the top of the CG home page. You can also make a post on the CG forum and sometimes find admins on our IRC channel #cybergamer @quakenet
Is there a more in depth guide available to CG and Call of Duty 4?
We are currently building an expansive resource guide that we hope to make available soon.

i dont see where....
Most people usually just search on the IRC channels, it's easier for most people.
And what about match history? Reset too?

Match history will remain on your teams profile but will be seperated from the next seasons matches.
