Hello, im of course a no name who won't go anywhere but i have been playing with the same sensitivity/settings for about couple of months now with my good old mx518 and doesn't seem to be improving my aim when i pub/practice on aim maps was curious of any other tricks of the trade that you guys may use to help increase your accuracy, anything would be of help.
ps. Searched for the forums for a good old 10 minutes no other topics like this.

CANNOT STRESS THIS POINT ENOUGH.
Fiddle about with ur sens till u find one thats right for you.
now make it so that 1 of these swaps is 180 degrees turn
360 degrees is 2 of the biggest swaps you can make with your wrists
thats how i got my sensitivity, sometimes i even lower it a bit more.
rest is just practice, quakelive ftw.

Whatever your sensitivity is at the minute, if you are new to the game, well you could proabably half it and it would still be too high.
If you get somebody half decent at the game to spend 2 mins speccing you in a server, they could probably tell you straight away if your sensitivity is too high or if you are doing anything drastically wrong.
might have a new addition to the kitchen tho:
NICE
Create a post about it.
xfire: c3firestorm.
- use a low sensitivity something like 30cm - 40cm for 360 turn (don't put it too low its a bad habbit) (use one which feels best for you)
- hold your mouse in a claw grip
- use your wrist on the edge of your desk and use that since its more steady instead of whole arm
- easier i feel with an worn mousepad like i have had my qck+ for 1 or 2 years? lots of friction feels a lot easier to hit with guns like sniper
- dont use mouse accel
- dont panic when you aim just relax (go practice it on pub)
- a mouse wont make a difference in aim it will only help in certain situations (example - an intelli 1.1 is better for hitting flick shots and using ak47 on cod4) (an intelli 3.0 or mx518 is a lot easier for sniping or using rail gun or something generally tracking)
- if you have a naturally good aim you can hit good with any mouse anyway unless its a diamondback or something :/

- lower your sensitivity
- lower your sensitivity
- lower your sensitivity
and ehm..
- lower your sensitivity
(But not too low ^^)
do this before you play, you will sometimes find that your gun will talk to you and insult your mother.

- Find a good mouse that's recommended by people who know what mice are quality and what ones are shit. Again, you might have to experiment a little to find exactly what mouse suits you.
- Try to avoid mouse accel.
As far as sens goes, experiment a little and find something that feels natural and stick to it. Then just practice.
