Introducing COD2. THE LAST STAND., a joint venture between the community and Qwerty-Gaming, to be held in March, on location in Prague at the District.Prague, a brand new state-of-the-art lan arena.

A Lan Tournament for the Ages

About us : A Call of Duty 2 lan tournament, initiated and organized by the community itself to mark a potentially closing year 2013 for competitive offline gaming in our loved game. We are not saying that this is necessarily the last international CoD2 lan tournament ever, but it sure is very likely, due to many people planning on switching to different games next year. We believe that this game deserves one last big event. With huge interest from teams all over Europe, this event is promising to be the Call of Duty highlight of year 2013, so whatever you do, do not miss it! Just as importantly, we are putting together a great opportunity for everyone to get together and have an awesome weekend in the amazing city of Prague. Especially the evenings should be fun, once the monitors are turned off.

Admins : D3do, the brains behind the entire operation. Vioqor and fooZar, the best friends helping organize another major community event together. Marty, who will be helping us with everything, but especially help teams with their local arrangements. Finally, _z0d, the creator of the massive step forward for CoD2 that is zPAM, he gives us unprecedented access to zPAM, amongst the many bags of his tricks.

Date : Saturday and Sunday, the 23rd-24th of March, 2013

Location : District.Prague, a brand new state-of-the-art lan arena.

Other location info: a fully equipped bar including alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, a small kitchen for warm meals and cold meals including sandwiches, salads, and other.

Other location gaming options: 4 XBOX consoles (we can agree on what games will be on them during the event), 2 KINECT consoles (choice of games can also be agreed on) and 2 hydraulic RRS simulators (check YouTube for these beast, search “motion sim RRS”)+ we will prepare various other contests, we have plenty of inspiration from the recent DreamHack event in Sweden

Signups : Signups will be open on the 7.1.2013 and will be available in numerous formats, including online card payment, Paypal, bank transfer, and many more.

The signup fee for a team is 250€. Teams will be able to send a 100€ advance payment to guarantee their spot and send the rest up to two weeks before the event, when the payments will close. Every payment will be confirmed by a signed and stamped receipt by Qwerty-Gaming (the organizing company) as official proof of the transaction.

The event must have a minimum of 16 teams and will be cancelled in case that this number of full payments is not reached 2 weeks before the event date. All prior sent payments would be refunded in that case.

Format : The event is Turn Up & Play (TUP) and on the website you can find format triggers.
These are level triggers, however any number of teams between 16 and 40 will be accommodated and the format will be altered accordingly.

Streaming : The Arena has streaming capabilities, we will look towards providing shoutcasters for the entire tournament.
