Hi, recently i've had really bad problems with mouse acceleration with CoD2, which i've never had before on windows XP.
I recently installed windows 7 Pro and since then every time i start cod2 i get really bad acceleration on my mouse, so i was just wondering if anybody has a solution for it, as i've tried many things and nothing seems to work.
Ive been using the quake mouse movement recorder:
www.funender.com/quake/mouse/MouseMovementRecorder.zip
which shows up that my mouse is being accelerated every time i start cod2, thing is this doesnt happen with any other of my games (LoL, cod4, skyrim etc)
I've tried a shitload of stuff which never seems to work, and if anybody has any new suggestions which happen to work i'd be greatly appreciated
Stuff ive tried / doesnt work:
MarkC Fix
CPL Fix
mousefix.exe
rinput.exe
Cheesefix
Running cod2 in compatibily mode for windows XP, plus all of the other options in the compatibility menu.
If it helps, the problem is amplified by a large amount every time i have Mumble open, which means i pretty much cant use it.
My mouse is a deathadder 1800dpi (the original one)
tl;dr random mouse acceleration in cod2, that list of ^stuff^ doesnt work, any help?
Edit: If anyone still has this problem, it turned out to be a problem with my razer deathadder, its an issue with the 1.40 firmware which has a feature called drift control which was causing the mouse acceleration. You can get the 1.39 firmware from

COD + Win7 = me bad.
It feels like the mouse movement is delayed more than anything imo. It affects me in any game without direct input.

Btw, turn off acceleration of your mouse. (Acceleration = 0)

Also recent nvidia drivers apparently have been creating mouse lag, so look that up.
thanks for the help though
