Is there any good rendering guide for x264 that makes it look like Lucker - Too Lucky, mintR - Jagged Edge, CoDQCup highlights etc ? And that takes it from the start.
And is this good CoD4 settings for these maps?
CRASH:
Enable_art, Sunlight 1.7
CROSSFIRE:
Desaturation 0.6
STRIKE:
Sunlight 0.9
VACANT:
Enable_art, Sunlight 1.7
BACKLOT:

DISTRICT:
Enable_art, Gamma 0.7

for the super shiny omagad specular map, as shown in kez's movie Aurora Borealis or whatever, use /r_specularcoloroffset or something, and put it to 16, or 32, depending on how shine happy you are |

You have to update MeGUI. I had the same problem. Just run the update, and you shouldn't see it anymore |

I solved that :P
Ok, I think everything worked fine ! I had some small prob on some places but theyre all solved.
THANX ! :D
And I just want to know, are those the best settings you can have ? Or do you recommend that I change something ?
Now, my only problem is THIS, which seems to never get solved... I´ve tried every settings combination but nothing works -.-

I made a second encoding test, and now I got a mp4 file instead of a .264 :o
Maybe that doesnt matter cause it still looks the same after the mux. the only difference is that i cant play it with quicktime :/
And a weird thing is that when it starts making the 3rd pass a window says "filname".mp4 already exists, do you want to oerwrite?

1. yes mp4 is the container. same for avi, it can contain a divx file, a xvid or a raw video file.
2. you should be able to play the file with any video player that supports the x264 codec - which u did install, cuz of MeGUI - that can be VLC Media Player or alike. Not sure whether Quicktime can do that job?
3. I know :p It forces a overwrite attempt. You can safely go for 'Yes'. This confirmation window can be disabled in the options panel.
For small tests I would like to point you to a med quality single pass with few b-frames. If you go for quality tests take a small part and use the most optimal settings. |

Thanks for your support =D
1. But the first time, I got a .264 file which I then muxed and got a mp4... i think...
But some movies works with quicktime and some not :/
But qt just lags anyway so it doesnt matter. I use VLC

MeGUI is quite simple program and you can download his preset configs. Only thing u need to know then is to how to put the avi in and mux the output. That's it :) |
