i have probally seen al fragmoves here...but there is something that i cant figure out. Why is there no sence of recoil in some of the cod2 and cod4 fraq.movies?? I experienced meself al little bit. But for me i cant get a straight mp44 aim without any recoil. |

sometimes when u watch a demo u dont get the same recoil as when the game is actually played, so when u record it looks like less recoil.
Also its prob a mind thing as well cause ur not having to control the recoil but just sit there and watch u dont notice it as much :DDDD |

this.
never understood people who can't grasp the concept of pulling your mouse down whilst firing.
if for some reason you can't do that, i suggest taking a Grip. |

It's mainly because fragmovies are compressed at 30FPS (most of the time) so you don't see every frame that you should actually see in game.
Try to set your com_maxfps to 30 in game and you will notice it. |

Not really true... well, they are compressed in 30fps but _all_ moviemakers (who know about these things) record with higher fps.
But yeah, as heroik said it can also be that you're not controlling the mouse yourself so the recoil can look lower than normally. |

Even if you record at 200 FPS, the final render will still be around 30-40 FPS. You only see 30 FPS, not 200. It's called Interlacing and it's only used to make the clip smoother.

I can't see your point heroik.
Anyway I still remember a guy who was playing dod with 20-30fps. He upraded his computer and got 100 fps, he was like "wtf I feel like if my recoil is bigger now". I tried myself to limit my fps to 30 and I felt like I had less recoil. Must be the same in cod but tbh the recoil is zero compared to dod. |

tigii, you talked about that 30fps less recoil. You said you feel less recoil in 30 fps vs. high fps, but... what if you spec someone shooting with a high fps, and then he changes to say 30 fps, will you see the recoil lowering? I don't think so. It will still register the same, you may just see or feel it differently.
The point is, you can't really judge these things by senses.
It's just "a mind thing" as heroik said, you will _see_ and maybe _feel_ more recoil with high fps, but there isn't any more really.
