Problems with "avidemo"

Posted by Austria H--D on 2009-07-01 14:35:37
Hi,

I am new here, and new at making Call of Duty 4 Movies. ;)

I haven't a high end PC, but I think my PC is OK for this. I recorded 2 seconds with "/cl_avidemo 200" then i putted the screenshots into "VirtualDub" and saved it as ".avi". When i watch the movie now it is very slowly! Where is my mistake?

Sincere regards David!

the mistake is not correctly changing the video options in vdub.

go to video > Framerate

when there, in the source adjusment option select the second option 'change framrate to (fps)' and make this value 200.

render and it should play at normal speed :)

Hi,

yes, I have done this allready, but the Video is very slowly, and it looks like that the video hasn't 200 FPS, looks like 10 FPS.^^

I use your Movie CFG, i start the Demo, press "F1" for "/cl_avidemo 200", than i press "F2" for stopping it. The screenshots i put into VirtualDub, select 200 FPS, and "Save as AVI". But than i have a laggy and slowly Video...

its laggy, because of its uncompressed.
import it to vegas/premiere/afterFX.

as aixx says if you are watching it in a video player such as VLC or WMP it wil be laggy as its uncompressed. It wil play fine in an editing program such as vegas. After u edit it u render it again with a codec to make the footage watchable.

I putted the Video into SonyVegas, and saved it as AVI, and took PAL. Now it is too quick I think.^^

rapidshare.com/files/250684329/Ohne_Titel.avi.html

And how get I a better Quality? Thats not really good.^^

Hmm, dont understand it.^^ So i dont know, but i think the Video is too quick.^^ Have you downloaded the Video?

rapidshare.com/files/250684329/Ohne_Titel.avi.html

If i do it like on your pic, it is the same, only a better quality.^^

Can you send my your CFG? Could be that I have the wrong one. It really looks like bad.^^

Hi,

now i have recorded a scene with "/cl_avidemo 30". I putted the screenshots into VDub, changed the Framerate to 30.00000, and saved it as AVI. Than i putted the AVI Video into Vegas, have renderd it with the Template of Aixx, and now the Video is too slowly. Sry, but i not understand that.^^

@ lolEEEk: Nope, works not for me, if i change some values, noting happens.^^

1. avidemo 30 is like fraps läägy .take 120 - 200 (if u have 120 take 120 frames in vDub and render uncompressed in vegas @ 30fps;for avidemo 200 take 50fps in vegas)
2.for the filmtweaks u have to enable devmap by typing in console : /devmap mp_crash .then u do /disconnect and watch ur demo Press F1 fpr recording... as u said :P

File/Render As/Custom/Video/Frame rate.
You can see it in Aixx's screen img3.imagebanana.com/img/kkze0u37/tek.PNG

Not to bump any old threads, but, I hae the same question, I've got footage that's 1 hour while it's supposed to be 1 minute or something.

Even after I rendered it in Vegas etc.

yes are u watching in windows media player? it's raw video too heavy for playback.

open it in Sony Vegas or other editing software then click the preview there.
