Hi i'm creak, a cod4 player from argentina (south america).
I'm making this thread to announce that i'm making a cod4 movie featuring some players across south america (argentina, uruguay, chile and colombia), if i dont have any problem with it i'll finish it next week or so, i'm working in this proyect since the begining of september.
And I also made this thread because i have a problem: encoding the movie. I can't use x264 because if I try to render the .avi will lenght like 20 gb or something like that, and that's the problem, i don't have space in my hd ( unique 80 gb hd ) because i've like 60gb of my disk with frags (i recorded with fraps) and the other like 16-18 gb with cod4 and demos and cod2 and demos so my unique possibility is to render it with WMV, but i can't find a vegas wmv cfg with high quality that size less than at least 700 mb (for example kez cod2 movies, they are all in a rly high quality and have a rly low size), so i'll really apreciate if somebody can post here the settings to get that kind of quality and size in WMV. i'm not used to speak english but hope this post is understandeable =)
p.s.: another example of what i'm talking is this:
www.tek-9.org/cinema/sPlash_The_End-239.html
Length: 8:45
Size: 377 MB
Codec: wmv
and the quality is rly nice, i tried to contact pasiek via mail (creator of that movie) but i get no answer from him ): |

With regards to using .wmv, from experience a lot of the time it comes down to how good your pc is, and is it capable of holding say a solid 6M bit rate throughout the render.
Quality wise, go for 6.2 M bit rate, everything on best.
and 128kb's Audio.
There's not much you can do with .wmv, apart from rely on your processor. |

lot of ppl said to me that render in xvid it's the same process than rendering in x264 (u have to render a .avi anyway, that's the point) |
