I bought a steelseries steelsound 5H V2 with soundcard last week , am using the soundcard for the music etc but the microphone i plugged into my motherboard soundcard , wot i wonder of the steelseries soundcard i got by the headset , if theres any record option on it cus i cant find it , on my motherboard soundcard it was called STEREO MIXER , so it actually recorded everything i was listening to on my pc , I cant find it on the steelseries soundcard. |

same problem ^^ iv also got a problem with the mic, i get a high pitch beep noise in the background, no idea how to fix it |

Ditch the sound card, had problems with it from day one..
i find on-board alot better anyway |

Plug ur microphone into ur onboard card and let the soundplug in ur usb soundcard then the highbeep will dissapear ;p cus the highbeep is cus of the usb soundcard. atleast thats how i fixed it , i could explain you howto do it if you wanto. |
