PC problems
Well as my brother contacted me to help him to get a pc i thought i would sell my one to him make a tidy profit as he has no clue what mine was worth :D
So anyways ordered a new pc, built it myself as i knew what i was doing, this is what i ordered and have now
AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2 GHz Socket AM3 8MB Cache
ASUS M4A78T-E 790GX Socket AM3
Western Digital WD5000AAKS 500GB SATA II 7200RPM 16MB Cache
OCZ GameXStream 850W PS
Antec 900 Nine Hundred
Sony AD-7200S 20X DVD±RW/DL/RAM Internal SATA
OCZ 4GB KIT (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1600Mhz PC3 12800 GOLD SERIES DUAL CHANNEL KIT
1GB XFX HD 4890 Black, PCI-E 2.0(x16), 4000MHz GDDR5, GPU 1000MHz
So its all in the case all together, but when i turn it on i have power to everything, but i have no output to the monitor.
I've tried, using different socket on gfx card, used the mobo gfx, still no output
Tried only 1 stick of ram, then swapped them round, then put them in different places
Tried rebuilding it, twice
Tried taking out the cmos battery and putting back in
Used a different cable to the monitor
But one thing i have noticed is that there is no beeping or moaning from the mobo when there is no ram in it. This also applies to the cpu aswell and still no beeping, could it be something to do with the mobo?
Any help on this would be awesome
1.check all cpu pins on the mobo to make sure none are bent/have shit on em
2.take out the power lead, take out the cmos battery, replace in 2 mins then power up.
Most probably a faulty motherboard, some come alredy faulty, just bad luck:(
Tried the cmos already
yes, because knowing for sure that it is the pc and not the monitor is a stupid thing to know!
But it probably is the motherboard if both the onboard and card graphics don't work.

its not going to be the monitor rofl, theres so many things tht can go wrong with the motherboard. i jus sent my striker 2 extreme off to be tested cos it has the same problem, and many so has another of mine. some you just recieve faulty. bad luck
Sounds like a bad mobo, but then again if it was dead surely it wouldn't boot? Not sure, but if you can, try your components on a different board. If you can't do that, then just send the mobo back and get a replacement.

Remove the little battery on your motherboard and put it back in, worked for me :)

best thing u can do is take ur gfx card to a mates house and test it in his,and if it works its not ur card :) then if tht works put ur older gfx card in see if u get anything on ur screen if not than u no the long drill of repacking and sending back :) GL!!!!!!!!!
