Well, it's that time of year again, both football franchises release a new title, and i pick which one i'm going to thrash my mates on.
Love my football games, tend to play mostly on the pc nowadays as i feel my XBOX360 is a bit too 'arcade'.
I loved Fifa 05' but that's the only one from the past few years i've enjoyed, i tend to lean more towards PES.
Having played the demo version of both games ( PC ) today, i'll definitely be getting PES.
The game feels so fluid, and you feel free to create moments of magic, my problem with Fifa lies in the same department.
I often feel out of control with regards what's going on around the field on Fifa, like passes have pre-determined outcomes and suchlike. Pro Evo on the other hand, allows for cheeky through balls and beautifully worked goals thus giving me a better sense of enjoyment.
Plus - Ryan Babel is amazing on Pro Evo, and LFC are fully licensed :D ( although no Nemeth / Insua / Pacheco / Plessis which i'm gutted about ).
Which version do you prefer ? Which will you be buying if either ? Why ? |

Play lower leagues on fifa its a lot better for variation.
If ur a top team its so easy :P
I'll always get fifa untill pes get fully licensed on lower league teams aka Carlisle United :P
At least they have liverpool tho which is a start : D
Fifa 09 demo was weird :S didnt feel smooth, the goals seemed boring
however the controlling with the mouse was pretty cool :P
Fifa 04 with total club manager 2004 (i bummed that game) was the combination!! :P Again only liked it cause if u got both on the manager game u culd actually play if u owned fifa 04: D |

Just got fifa for pc, using my xbox controller, how the fuck do u do the tricks?? my trick stick just doesn't work at all. |

1. Install the latest xbox360 controller drivers from microsoft
2. Install the latets DirectX.
3. Update your windows.
All should work just fine now. |

And ofc it's lt+right analogue stick, sometimes I've just had problems getting the damn thing to register, might be an issue with my usb drivers or just the game dunno. |

Fifa is dire on PC, they just don't support it like Konami (PES) do.
Germaine plugged in some 10 year old USB gamepad and it worked seamlessly with PES.
There's been a lot of issues regarding pads + Fifa.
PES is identical across all platforms. |

FIFA online was beter then PES last year. PES was just laggy as fuck, FIFA went smooth as a babies bottom. |

yeah seems thats the problem i've got, doesn't register that good. meh i'll stick to my guns with pro evo me thinks!! |
