I know alot of people will jump on the bandwagon and laugh at the signing of Michael Owen.
But personally, I am rather pleased that Fergie stuck to his guns and didn't offer stupid amounts of money for players just because he needed a striker.
Anyway.. welcome Mickey Owen :D
Discuss :}
Edit: I think United will now go and buy a midfielder or a winger since they have not bought a striker.

Could turn out to be a master stroke. Somehow doubt it though.
For a free, wirth the ££, but whats his weekly ££?
Also, I read that it could be a pay-to-play contract.. which I wouldn't be surprised with.
United should spend on Douglas Costa now (brazilian wonderkid)
no. What he did to Liverpool was fucking disgusting.

What he did?
Torres out injured, who else do we have as back up....

Hes a proven goalscorer. a real poacher. Hes prooved to play well with rooney for england. Plus as a spurs fan i know the true genius that is berbatov. If fergie decides to play berbs further upfield which he did at spurs with keane filling in, then someone like owen with reasonable pace and clincle finishing will do well. but he needs to keep fit!
+1
Didnt know he was that much of a nuisance
Agree Disagree?

mostly agree, but we dont know what reasons he had for leaving liverpool, and it would have been a smarter choice to stay in england instead of going to spain.

What he did?
He turned down a lucrative contract 18 months before his contract ran out, ran down the year and left for £8m when he was arguably one of the best prospects in the world.
Michael Owen only thinks about what's best for Michael Owen.

alot of dosh, but a good goal scoring record! 30 in 65 games, there are alot more strikers around that don't get anywhere near that.

Im sorry but thats exactly what players should do. You come first then the club. If youll only look out for the club you aint going nowhere.

its harsh but, when owen came through liverpools youth team (?) and he could have signed a contract, stayed for another few months and gave liverpool an extra 10-15 £million
edit; correct me if im wrong i duno if owen did come through the ranks

Could go either way if he signs.
Rooney and Berbatov are gona be the main strike force obviously..
They got a player with bags of experience.
Don't question Fergies judgement.
Anyone questioning fergie is an idiot lol...
