With the Belgian ESWC National Counter-Strike Finals at the end of july, the online Counter-Strike 1.6 qualifier comes closer and closer... Two online qualifiers will decide who deserve to defend his brand at the AEF - four finalist (two finalist from each qualifier). Here, you have my picks:
1. LowLandLions
2. TEK9
3. herotiC!
4. GamerKings
Who do you think will qualify? |

ethereaL is a surprising choice; they were outplayed by every team in the EPS, even by the Walloon team Oneway.

I don't know to much about the Benelux CS scene, so that might explain the choice ;) |

Haha, exactly. It's possible that ethereaL will qualify themselves for the ESWC Qualifier but personally I think they had a lot of luck at the EPS qualification. Time will tell, I suppose.
I just hope that the four finalists can put up some wicked ass performances, making it one of the best finals ever. |

Fisrt of all, i also thought it was weird to put us in the "final four" but I don't think we had so much luck to qualify for eps... We won against oneway, lost 14-16 to edit thus I think we deserved our place in EPS. But in the end it wasnt such a good thing for us to qualify because EPS matches were played before exams and thus we werent as prepared as we were hoping. I think we already proved that we can really play well sometimes but we need to practice for it ;)
Anyway I hope we'll be able to show some good things during that qualification (online sucks :( ) even if we're still in exams until friday. The qualification for the finals will be really easy for tek-9 and LLL and it's kinda sad that herotic wont be able to play with their lineup |

Yeah, I sure hope that your team is able to perform at its best. Studies are way more important, so I understand your point of view.
I probably exaggerated with the world 'luck'. I'm not stating that you didn't deserved it, but that you were a bit lucky that a lot of good teams were near dead - i'm speaking of herotiC as they are a really good team.
I wish you the best at the online qualifier - indeed online sucks - and let's hope that the four best teams advances - using a bo3-format. That reduces the chance of one team advancing because they are good on one map.

I don't know why Octane would qualify theirselves as I haven't seen them on any tournament in Belgium, in the last year. Very strange :/ |
