Punkbuster problems ?

I have same problem. I have propa big lag spikes since I have updated pb.

got lag spikes aswell since this morning or yesterday morning..

New update by PB and its fucked up

Server cpu and net usage is pretty high after updating pb... no wonder why really it lags like hell.

idd man i was shitten it missing loads of shots on servers (might have been dire reg) and a massive lagg was doin my head in

download pbsetup and run for updates!

run pb setup quite regularly never get any problems but pb is gay as fuck sometimes. but is normally osrted in a day or 2

Was jumpy today but was fine after alt tabbing out and back in game. And having to update server manually. Nothing more noticed.

I dont mind the lag, well I do ofc, but it crashes 24/7. That I hate :p

Yeah, been getting an annoying stutter every 3 seconds, framedrop and lag spike. I've tried entering /pb_sleep 500 into the console but it doesnt register, there is no pb_ in the console options. Do I need to go into the PB file and change it?

Only the first round though, but still annoying as hell.

guys, there are two new PB updates, I dont crash anymore, but I do have the lag sometimes :p

i had this problem like a year ago or so...couldnt play cod

ask a friend to go in his directory..and put the pb folder in a zip ..then when he gives u ...u replace with the pb folder u got

i updated pb today, but still have this problem sometimes (but my lagometer "waving" disappeared *cheers*)

change config, it seems that some dont have pb_sleep command

i thought it was mine internet but oviously not little lagometer thing keeps going ___|____|_____| etc..

Pb_ commands are not cod4 commands
thats why they don't show up when you type them
but when you open the full console and type pb_sleep 500 and press enter you see that Punkbuster leaves a message in the Full console.
cod4 doesn't recognize the commands, pb does ^^

Now to make some kind of autoexe for PB.

Open cod4 and type this command
pb_WriteCfg
close cod4 and go to your PB folder
D:\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\pb
open the pbcl.cfg file and change pb_sleep to 500
done.

That's what /pb_writecfg does.

Is fixed with new PB-Update (2.191)!!!

i get kicked evry 30 secs for that since today :O

Try the PB update like #35 says, it has worked for me...no more lag atm, until the next PB update.

I have the latest update. Still lagging. Arghhh!

got the solution!!!!! :D

Delete ur complete PB folder.. then run the update program on evenbalance.com.. it reinstals the pb folder.. done. problem fixed
