Anyone got a list of channels we can get actual high skilled wars from while we build up results to apply for preinvite again?
Finding a decent pcw now is going to be pretty fucking tough.
Only one I know of is #cod4.skilled.

preinvite needed to be cleaned deffinatly, but to change invite on such a big scale is retarded, especially when favouritism in involved
just cuz u were good at cod2 doesnt mean u shud be thought of highly in cod4....noObness rofl rofl |

Invite had a LOT of people who shouldn't be in there, because of either their teams folding and them using their old auth to get new teams in.
At least Pre-invite will be useful now ^^

true there will be better teams in preinvite now, but there are also still a lot of shit teams in it to.
Theyre not rly cleaning it up majorly, theyre just putting a bot in, because you can see from the teams that already got in that they rly dont give a shit who is in it
guess itll stop the random shitbrick mixes tho...

but unless they do a cleanup like every month or so you will end up with mixes in preinvite in the end. |

Preinvite will soon be good once all the people are added to the bot and the .wars randoms are removed.
Invite however, well it's gotta take somethin' special to get into invite nowadays, admins are far too picky about teams that have been together for months, whereas there's also upcoming teams that they KNOW they have potential, yet look down there nose at em because of f.e not attending summer lans (would be like denying dignitas into invite because the new dignitas didn't attend lan, they were all split up.....which is ridiculous)
Or you could be in boOness and get in

Vivid like 7th/8th - yeah one LAN doesn't make it but still shows they have it and they have been very consistant

Consistent when? Apart from 2nd in the insidae cup and being high on cb ladders the results aren't there from them. They did well at i34 but have changed lineup and might change furthermore, If you let them in then you let a lot of nearly teams again. They'll easily be one of the best teams in preinvite anyway ;) |
QFT apart from the last phrase.
Invite is invite and preinvite is now going to be used as to how it was originally intended to, a place where 'up and coming' teams can have a place to get some experience and play good teams. Teams in invite now give each team a good game thats always close(which wasn't always the case before), and i don't see why your whining vivid because you didn't exactly give us a close game in that cup final of 13-2 on your map.

Its because it was so hard to find a decent game in invite because of all the bad teams searching theres only a point searching top 15 teams cos if u practice against lower invite teams u win easily hence the cleanup. Do something at pc gamer and get in u cant complain about being up and coming thats the point of preinvite teams that arnt quite at the top level and have a chance to prove their worth. |
I wasn't speaking for my team specifically, my invite apply was a long shot because I was told by a specific admin that they WILL still be accepting people if they have the idea that they're good enough for invite, despite not being to LAN yet (meaning new teams). But when you can say invite is supposedly the best amongst the best and a team like boOness with almost as many lu changes as my old team Mystery Men, a BAD positioning at one of the Summer LAN's (whereas sypher did better, less lu changes, got REJECTED)... it kind of defies the point of being so elitist & picky in accepting teams into invite
If there's going to be certain "rules" for invite acceptance, should be followed for all teams.
Nevertheless, I won't particuarly mind aslong as the preinvite clean-up is done right and the .wars/randoms/mixteams are removed and there IS actually upcoming teams in invite (:
PS: Found out tonight than not only is a roster-shuffling boOness team in, there's also Copenhagen eSport and Roskilde Ravens(oh, I truly wonder why).... what did Cph do, that sypher didn't? what has ravens done, other than go out to southpark gaming(i think?) atleast I know for sure they didn't get past group stages, not to mention how much of a lineup change they've recently had past 2weeks.
