That concludes version 1 of COD5 information.
With what he was just read we can see that COD5 seems like an improved COD4 game with all its aspects and has added the weaponry from the old COD versions 1, UO and 2.
What will happen with the first ruleset is yet unclear, but we will find that out soon enough after playing the beta.

it will, if we buy it or not, the game is just better, wich will result in a high ammount of sales, not only by the current cod4 scene, but by the entire cod playing community.
The scene is just a tiny part of all the people playing the game.
infact about 70% doesn't even know competetive gaming like this.
They will by the game for fun, and sponsors will be promoting the best of them in that case. |

Who said cod5 is better then cod4. Maybe it is maybe it isnt.. and i think your right about that 70%. But that still leaves 30% and that 30% is also a big part sponsors are aiming for. The competitive players are the 1nes buying the best game pc`s 2 get better @ the game and make the game the way it is..So if that 30% stays @ cod4 you still got the community and the sponsors. Look @ counterstrike 1.6 and counterstrike source. That are now 2 communities and thats only because the really big teams stayed @ 1.6 |

The community might stay, but it will change, that is something that can't be helped.
The best COD5 players will notice that they are standing out of the rest.
resulting in a new community, all you have got to do is choose wich one you like to follow. |

Not being funny but the competitive scene is a mere 10% of the market, maybe less..
Infact a lot less, CoD4 sold 10mil+++
What do you think CoD5 will sell?
Sponsors will follow the market, and that market does not include competitive gaming.
edit: that's a bit contradictory, we are included in the market but because we are so small it wouldn't make a difference.
If every top team didn't buy cod5 it wouldn't dent the sales in the slightest.

Im wondering what CC5 will do. They are opening singups in this month. Ok, so we are buying slot, we are booking flys, and one month before CC5, COD5 got released. Will they stick to COD4, or will they cancel the tournament or switch to COD5. If the 2nd option, im wondering who will pay back some teams flyights, as they are comming to play COD4 lan not COD5...
@Thorpy, in fact 90% of ppl that bought COD4 are playing Singel Player, and never turned on MP or they have been playing it for a few hours.

Pretty much, hell i'd buy CoD5 for SP simply because CoD series SP mode is REALLY good.
But my point stands, you can't change the inevitable ladies and gentlemen. CoD5 will be a hit, and raf1 is already in touch with them bout developing promod. We will have to wait and see what the 'major players' do.

I can bet some money, that COD5 wont be sold as much as COD4. It doesnt matter it has the same engine, perk system etc. It just wont, cos the World War times are "overplayed". And i hope it wont. Community could switch to COD5 after june, when my contract is over so i dont need to play it xD

but howmuch of those who bought CoD4 are still playing? and howmuch of those are only playing Pub? i dunno howmuch the community has grown from cod2 to cod4.. it's basically cod2 + uo i suppose - some .. |

A sizeable chunk of the sales statistics still play CoD4, just look at the xfire stats and the vast amount of active servers indicate as such. |
