COD4 vs. COD5

How do you view the possible PC release of COD5, perhaps as soon as winter this year?
Here are a few thoughts/questions:
1. If Activision are as keen to promote COD5 as they were COD4 then for example, at multiplay i35/i36/i37 whenever the game might be realeased, it is likely there will be more money involved with the new game.
Would this force your team to move over to the new game even if it is not as good, or would you be more likely to stick with COD4?
2. How would you view the release of a new Call Of Duty game every year for example?
This would bring adaptability more fully into the list of
skills needed to achieve in the game, but would it also hinder teams reaching any real level of competance?
3. If the new game is slower with the reintroduction of rifles do you think that a split in the community is likely? Will the oldskool players/teams move to 5 and the new wave of gamers stick with 4?
4. Vehicles - In my opinion should clearly not be included in any form of competitive multiplayer. Will they spoil the game on release and stop people persevering until mods are made? Could multiplay for example do a release tournament like with COD4 including vehicles?
What are your thoughts on the game?
Will you wait to see what the game is like before making a commitment?
Do you hate COD4 and will play COD5 no matter what?
If the majority of skilled teams stick with COD4, will you stay even if COD5 is e-mazing?
With the Call Of Duty series becoming far more popular and more able to pull in money for LANS will the release of COD5 halt this progress?

If the money-tournaments take cod1 then you play cod1, if the money-tournaments take cod2 then you play cod2 and if the money-tournaments take cod4 then you play cod4.
Cod1 for example was better then cod2 (ofcourse that's not the opinion from everyone) but still everyone made the switch. Why? Because the "money" was there: tournaments picked that game.
If the money-tournaments take cod5 then you will all play cod5, nothing more, nothing less. Ofcourse you will see some people staying @ cod4, but the tournaments will use only cod5 and cod4 dies.
There is a big chance that the game is bad, but we can't know this for sure. Maybe it will be a nice game with recoil and a great gameplay? Time will tell.

I would like to stay with CoD4, as CoD5 didn't realy catch my attention. But, if everybody moves to CoD5, then i don't want want to be left in the stone age. |
