what is the best cl_avidemo xx to enter ?
when i enter cl_avidemo 20 its gets very very laggy !
what do i need to do to stop that lagg zomfg

you dont stop the lag, it's taking screenshots which you later put together in vdub, 30,60,120 are the best values probs. |

I use cl_avidemo 120, put the framerate to 120 in virtualdub, edit it in Vegas, do ma thang, send it over to After Effects, do some more stuff, then get it back to vdub, re-render on huffyuv, send it over to meGUI, mux it, and done |

when i set cl_avidemo 120 its gets so damn laggy -.-' like 5-6 fps

It's supposed to go that slow. What it's doing is taking the amount of screenshots, you set with your avidemo command. If you said cl_avidemo 120, it would take 120 screenshots per second of in-game footage. The higher this is, the more fluent your game will be. I advise you to go to www.tek-9.org/forum/TEK9_Cinema-18/Some_movie

But remember, only use avidemo if you're going to do it with everything from your graphics on high. If you're going to record with your normal config, u might as well just get FRAPS |

pwned , i can't get even 80 fps whit this ( all on low , r:lodbias 0 rigid 0 all that shit on 0 all on low ) and i still get 80 fps lol

ok... Avidemo 120 is a must its so smooth.
when u hit the bind u have for avidemo it wil begin to take screenshots, the amount of screenshots per second relate to the value u have set i.e avidemo 120 = 120 per second. This also means that the FPS of the clip will be 120.
When u start to capture IT WILL BE LAGGY, thats the whole point.
It doesnt matter what FPS u have ingame i have about 9-15 with my movie cfg on, so dont worry about that.
For the rest do as aerox says...BAI |

Don't worry. With everything on extra, i get about 20 to 60 fps. Furthermore, i have a question for lee: I did as u said, and got those profiles, and i pulled that clip off on a bitrate of 4500, and i got an 2.5 meg clip out of 5 secs. Is that a normal compression, or am i still fucking something up? |

well the funny thing is there is one already here O_o kamikaz did it but good on ya for doing it :) will help alot of newbies out :)
@ aerox u should be looking at about 30mb odd per min i think mine with audio is like 36mb a minute so work it out from there, about a ratio of 1mb 2 seconds

u can also try lower bitrate and more b-frames |
