Team Dignitas gives Clanbase a Red Card

Yesterday our Call of Duty 4 team has played in the Clanbase EuroCup XVII Winner Bracket Final against H2k-Gaming and won it with 25-23. With Sko playing on his laptop for this one which had a different GUID than the one he entered in Clanbase, a few minutes after the match, H2k player and Clanbase admin SpoX gave H2k-Gaming a default win for Sko using the wrong GUID.
Dignitas is aware that Sko should have warned the admins about his laptop having a different GUID than the one registered on Clanbase. Clanbase ignored its own rules by letting SpoX, supervisor of the COD4 Eurocup and manager of H2k handle the case. However, CB realized that this was a mistake and have just announced that the co-supervisor, Chandler, will now be reviewing the case and taking all the proof in mind, to draw a final conclusion in the near future.

*Update* - The admins have decided to uphold their prehistoric and backward decision, therefore Team Dignitas withdraws from all Clanbase cups. We only hope that they review their dying system before it causes others to suffer for absolutely no reason other than a jobs worth hat.
We would also like to remind Clanbase that they owe us €1500 and several graphics cards for over 8 months! We will put all our efforts into the far superior ESL League that is actually aiding the development of professional esports rather than hindering it. |

hehe, so they move to ESL where you get banned if your profile picture isnt quite the right size, or your prematch statement has 2 few words ;P
pretty fucked up move by cb though, although i can understand they want to be consequent in following their rules |

Never really liked cb, too many whiners and complainers :/
CB losing dignitas participation is nothing big though, they still have plenty of big teams...
Hardly means anything, just that dignitas lose out on their cups etc |

How are they showing CB a "red card"?
They're spitting their dummy out and losing out on potentially easy prized (if its all other games aswell?).
Bare in mind CB owe them that stuff, so hardly "PWN3D" them.
I'm pretty sure CB aren't losing sleep over this. |

Although it might not have much effect, it sure is a slap in the face of this EC with dignitas leaving and fnatic simply not participating.

i have nothing against dignitas but
wrong GUID = forfeit loss, especially in eurocup
regardless of whatever supervisor gave that ruling its correct... sko, if it was really him should of asked that team if he could play.
I do agree it's a bit premature, ip's could have been checked etc, but lets face it, if you see a team you lose to play with a bad guid in something like the eurocup, id file for red card that's for sure if they didn't ask :)

It's not only for the fact that they had a wrong guid in their team that dignitas quits all the cups, i think it has more to do with spox handling the case over some other admins(who are all as much able to handle this case)as spox, since he is involved big time with the h2k management.
it just shows that u can use the clanbase system to your own benefits...though it wasnt intended this way by spox

Spox shouldnt have celebrated the forfeit win via his teams website, this just antagonised them
And also I think any issues like this need to be addressed before the game, so they can be sorted out. The problem could have been sorted if noticed at the start. The fact it was only declared after they lost just shows how immature *some* members of the team are |

mmh thing is, it's dignitas' fault since they didn't warn anybody before the match about the problem. It's not up to h2k to tell dignitas sko is playing with the wrong guid.
imo if h2k wants to claim a forfait, it's their fully right to do so although it's kinda gay |

Rules should be the same for 1 and all. If this was a match between rank 500th and 501st nobody would have any sympathy.
The anger here should be directed at H2K's appalling sportsmanship as they have totally brought the sport into shame.
Matters like this should be restricted to being sorted out before the match begins.
I feel sorry for Dignitas, but no where near as strongly as I feel resent for the poor sportsmanship of H2K. |

sko didnt even know he was playing with the wrong guid, he had 2 keys on his laptop and because he joined through hlsw it linked it to the wrong 1. Clanbase will fail now tho, as if they wernt already :/
cant actually believe any1 sticks up for h2k in this because its possibly the saddest thing ive ever seen a team do, i can see why u support cb admins as they were upholding the rules even tho it is a retarded rule that should be altered. |
