NGTV are known for their broadcasting abilities mainly in France, but have started expanding their goals by already having successfully hosted a Call of Duty 4 cup there. Their wish is to continue expanding even more, which is why they have opted for a 128-slot Call of Duty 4 cup open to everyone in Europe.
With the cup opening sign-ups last Monday, the original idea was to only offer up 32 slots for a first cup. However, within the day, it was filled to the teeth with teams and an overwhelming waiting list, which is why the organizers have opted to increase the amount of slots to 128 and less than a week later, the cup is full as well.
The reason might be linked to the €100 in prize money the NGTV Tournament offers in partnering with Gameplay-Cash. All 128 teams will be fighting from Sunday onwards in a Single Elimination Bo1 (until the final Rounds are reached) system that sees everyone fight on the edge of their seat.
Of course, with NGTV hosting the cup, it was to be expected that the cup will not lack any severe coverage, either, with NGTV both having their English and their French crew on guard to cover any of the interesting games that will go on. Other streaming services are allowed to contact NGTV for the rights to stream some of the games as well.
