IEM World Championship Finals - Introduction

Welcome to TEK9's coverage hub for the $20,000 Intel Extreme Masters World Championship Finals. The tournament sees the World's best duellers go head to head to compete for a first place prize of $10,000 during the CeBIT Convention in Hannover, Germany.

The twelve participating players have been divided into two groups of six players each, with the top three from each progressing. Group winners will have a guaranteed spot in the last four, while the remaining four qualifiers will face off for the other semi final berts. Group games will use a best-of-three format with best-of-five reserved for the playoffs.
