In Europe, the Quake Live TDM scene has been lucky enough to be part of the Full Tilt Poker Challenge, as the current ESL Major Series and ClanBase EuroCup are drawing to a close and this online tournament can provide the teams with added motivation to start the new year actively and with quite a bit to win as well.

The Cup is going to be divided in two Divisions, with first featuring the most top teams and almost all the finalists of the aforementioned ClanBase and ESL Cups. The second Division was created to offer some of the lesser known teams an incentive to keep playing and keep improving to maybe in the future end up as part of the first Divison and the respected top teams.

The Cup starts with a 16 team Group Stage per division and over the course of the following three weeks, the best of each Group will be heading into a Play-off Bracket, set to begin on January 24th the latest. After that first the second Division will be played out in full and then the first Division will round off the tournament on February 10th, if all goes well.

Schedule:

Thursday, January 6th 2011: Group Stage Round 1
