Over the last few days, the Belgian city of Wieze opened its gates one more time for the customary local event, the Frag-O-Matic series that has grown to become the biggest event in Belgium and usually attracts some international crowds as well. Next to Black Ops, Call of Duty 4 was present again for this 13.1 edition.
The event did not feature some of the more illustrous BeNeLux mix teams that we see popping up now and again, however, one of the better performing Dutch teams, Team Visualize headed into this event being the favourite. They were being challenged by the German mix team comprising of some Team WinFakt! and myRevenge e.V. players who would bring a very skilled, but less tactical game to the event.
In the end, none of the local Belgian teams managed to really take it all the way and they were all knocked out before the Grand Final, which was a match-up between the Dutch and German top players. Because Team Visualize had won the Upper Bracket Final against Regez Gaming, they headed into the Grand Final with a map win advantage, forcing GERMANs to win both maps in a row. Unfortunately for them, they were unable to do so and had to accept the first map loss and be content with that 2nd place.
Was nice to meet some new peoplez like Wille, Remy, Yannick, Lars, Bartje, Patrick Knopse!, logix, qrizz, tRASH, noxxje, rOKZYE, mogli <333333333333333 and some others ^^
Was a nice lan with some good teams. This shows that cod4 is still alive in belgium with 23 teams.
We are very happy with our 4th place.

such a shame on darnall's face! He LAN DODGED even it was a mix! He went to the lan at the first day but 2hours later, he went home and stayed there. We played our first match against RASTA with a 4v5. And the matches after that played 5v5 with a guy called RKO. Ofcourse he couldnt reach the level but still he was a nice guy! We are not dissapointed in this LAN, with a 4 man LU we did not bad. next fom, we'll rematch everyone and hope our scope wont lan dodge again but not darnall!

For us it was also a great lan. We started not too good in the groups wich is the reason we had to play against aces in the second round. Though we managed to win 13-9 on strike. They had few difficulties in the last two rounds, but i don't really think they could have won as we had more kills in both rounds, but okay, could have been different with deszton and no problems, we'll never know.
After that we had to beat regez to be honest. We managed to win their map and had like 3 matchpoints on strike, our map. Still they managed to get back into the game and did win the second ovetime. After that we didn't get the same level again on backlot and lost. Also vs Rasta we weren't motivated enough to do enough.
After all we performed good as team, so we'll see what comes next :D
@deszton's case: didn't expect that from him, too bad though
we blew up crossfire and on strike attack is just more our side, you had a great match but it seemed like you took a win for granted after being 10-5 up on strike. And ones we had our monumentum going we were basicly unstoppable.
You are all 5 sick playerd but if I recall correctly you were a mix?
And I know newB is a great team with some amazing strats so yh thats why I think they should've won, your performance did prove me wrong.

i know newb is a team. But we knew we could beat them and offcourse we are mix.
But mostly mix teams are the worst teams to play against because you don't know how to play against such a team. Still they are a good team and i hope they won't split up.
Think the problem with them was the motivation especially after their loss against us on backlot was the second map to much for them.
To bad we lost close vs Germans but they were better then us so they deserved it :)
should have won against regez as we had a momentum comeback. 4-8, 9-8, 9-11, 10-11, 10-13
Think we might have been top3 instead of 7-8th if we played more properly.
They were just a bit too strong :) at the moment.
Cu next lan. I bet it's gonna be a close match again.
