The guys over at Euro Cups have been tirelessly providing the community with high quality CoD4 tournaments for over 2 years now, and their most topical cup will prove to be no different, when glancing over the sign-up list. Euro Cups have returned to provide you with yet another tournament, this time sponsored by PowerColor.
PowerColor are one of the leading providers of AMD Radeon graphics cards, and as such have provided 5 of their high quality graphics cards as prizes for the winning team of the CoD4 PowerCup. Rather bizzarely, they are all different cards: ranging from the £200+ price range down to the discontinued 5870 line. The competition will be a Single Elimination knockout cup, with maps decided by veto. The early rounds will be Bo1, while the semi finals and grand final will be Bo3. Matches will be played between July 31st and August 15th. The cup has a massive 128 slots, but given how popular past Euro Cups tournaments have been I would sign up quickly to avoid disappointment nonetheless! While nothing has been announced yet, Euro Cups are looking to stream the semi finals and the finals of this prestigious event. Given its running time just before the summer LANs, it is sure to provide excellent practice for all you potential LAN attendees.

seems like it'll be a good cup...only thing I find strange is the first round BYEs...there are teams who've been given a BYE who do not deserve it half as much as some others who will have some "tough" opening matches...seems they did not put that much thought in who gets a R1 bye...

why did u play your 3rd round match? we clearly stated both in the news and irc about no more matches after 2nd roundt. We will stream some of the matches and yours was one of them. why people always do sth without asking any admins or even reading the cup news...
