After a year of abscence the Electronic Sports World Cup is back again and are amassing the best players in the world in Disneyland, Paris.
With the new ownership it still remains to be seen if they can step it up and put down an event like in the glory days but with everyone as excited as they are the competitions should see some very interesting matches. TEK9 and Cadred are one site to cover both Counter-Strike 1.6 and Quake Live and we will be bringing you some live updates, pictures and interviews from one of the biggest gaming events out there as the 2010 edition kicks off.
You needed to select the Fnatic PLAY stream (TV 3) if you couldn't watch either of the ESWC ones. It said on the twitter feed. Do the same if the problem persists tomorrow
I had a look on ESR this morning, saw that the Cooller - strenx match had been postponed to 16:00 BST (so 17:00 CEST amirite?).
Now I come back to watch the game and it has already been played; or even all games have been played yet? Were those times actually CEST and not BST or did they tighten their schedule so they finished earlier?
Triple OT on ztn was mad. Gotta say, if Cooller ends up playing against rapha he's going to lose if he doesn't stop overextending himself like he did against Strenx. Rapha's just too good at setting up ambushes and running away.
Nothing truly exciting tomorrow though, Cypher vs Stermy and DaHang vs Av3k being the highlights. Hoping for fazz to bring us some wicked moves like he did at DH. He might not be one of the top contenders but the man knows how to entertain.
Cooller and Cypher both disappointed the latter especially, as that meant having a boring semifinal between dahang and rapha. Not that Cooller vs. Av3k was any less boring, Cooller just couldn't do anything.
As a whole the tournament has only offered a few exciting matches. Let's hope for a great final.
