| Button Bashers versus Dignitas, a repeat of the first round at the UKeSA Grand Finals just two weeks ago- but will we see Team Dignitas as the victors this time around? Button Bashers are again unable to compete with their full roster at another highly important event, but are lucky enough to have the services of a certain Jamie "hysobe" Harrison once more- a player who, while being relatively un-prepared with and inexperienced in the tactics of Button Bashers, settled in quickly and performed extremely well at the UKeSA Finals for the team, notably against Reason Gaming. However, unlike the UKeSA Finals, this time round we see ButtonBashers' arguable star player, Chris "nreo" Mead back in action. Chris will be filling an empty spot in the roster, taking the slot of Davy "Davy" Sysmans. However, I can see this chop and change tactic damaging the Bashers. The few rounds where ButtonBashers struggled against Reason Gaming a fortnight ago in the Third place play-off were the rounds where they lacked the agression and confidence to move in quickly as a team. However, with Nreo and the added play time with Hysobe, I feel the team will function like an extremely well oiled machine and take on Dignitas with their heads high and brimming with confidence. Buut will they miss the dominant AK47 of Davy? The AK player made some absolutely crucial kills when ButtonBashers were stuck in a corner and hurting. Definitely. Team Dignitas, on the other hand ,will come into the event with their exact same line-up as a couple of weeks ago which suceeded over a slightly different Button Bashers- only this time round the team will have even more practice under their belts. This can only be a good thing for the team who haven't been firing on all cylinders recently, especially since the re-additon of Michael "Mick" Bradshaw. Even so, their 2nd place finish at UKeSA will have boosted the team's morale and confidence, especially considering Mick was a key player in all matches. I think Dignitas really need to focus on each game as they go, and especially Jason "loOkzor" Perez O'Connor, a player which I feel hasn't been touching his previous form as of late. If he puts 100% concentration into his game, he can be one of the best players in the community and a key member of the Dignitas team. However, he can also be a player who seems to lose motivation if he dies early in a couple of consecutive rounds, and so be the team's worst enemy. In conclusion, I think this is going to be a tough game for Button Bashers- they will definitely be on the back foot all the way through. That said, if all members are playing on form, then I can see BB getting a close victory. But even so, if Dignitas are on form, it will be their game. Final Prediction, 2:1 to Team Dignitas. * At short notice it has become clear that Button Bashers will be taking former Team Infused player Will "will" Nye in place of Jamie "hysobe" Harrison. This will surely set them back due to lack of practice. |

| Of the two semi Finals, I definitely think this will be the one to watch. Both teams have demonstrated that they have the teamwork and individual talent to win this game and even the tournament as a whole. The two teams have faced off many times, and the results are spread fairly evenly. The most recent result went Darkstyle’s way, knocking Reason out of the UkeSA Premiership Finals in 2 maps straight. However, earlier in this ESL season Reason were the victors, as well as their victory in the LAN79 upper-bracket final. It is interesting to note that in the last two major events where the teams have come face to face (UkeSA and LAN79), the winner of their game was the winner of the tournament as a whole. I can definitely see this being the case at the EPS UK finals. While Dignitas and ButtonBashers are strong sides, I don’t know if they will be able to stop Reason or Darkstyle once they are on a roll. Reason lost the last match primarily because, as a newly formed lineup, they hadn’t all had a chance to properly gel with their newest addition: sLWx. The Finnish SMG player proved at UkeSA that he has the raw talent, but the base teamplay wasn’t entirely there. However, the team have had a few weeks with sLWx to train, and we could be seeing an entirely new Reason Gaming side. It will be interesting to see what effect sLWx has on the team and their tactics as a whole. He not as aggressive as D1ablo or phantasy, but seems to prefer staying further back and fragging more slowly. However, I wouldn’t rule him out of extending and changing the old role of  Zenith that he was originally filling. Unfortunately, even if sLWx is fully integrated into the ruthless Call of Duty 4 machine that is Reason Gaming, they may well be straight back to square one: D1ablo is unable to attend the event due to other commitments. This means the team had to find a stand-in, and it they have decided that his weapon will be picked up instead by stylez. Stylez is a confident player, who showed his talents after a very strong showing with veritas`Gaming at Multiplay’s i36 LAN event in April. The team are going to have to work very hard to get their game back to winning ways with this change. Not only will stylez not have the in-depth knowledge of his teammates and their play styles, but I genuinely don’t think he will be fully up to playing the extremely aggressive role of D1ablo, who has been labelled as the ‘human aimbot’ by shoutcasters and newswriters alike. As such, I think stylez will either do extremely well or very badly.Team Darkstyle, on the other hand, are having none of these problems. The lineup has not changed for some time now, and it has slowly morphed into an extremely efficient and effective team. They will come into this match on a high and buzzing with confidence, having just won the UkeSA Premiership, defeating an arguably stronger Reason Gaming side along the way. Particularly on form was dutch sniper robyee, who landed important frag after important frag in both their matches. It will be interesting to watch him and kAMMYZ face off. At this point, map choice is crucial. If robyee keeps up his form then I think Team Darkstyle will have the edge on the more open maps, such as Strike and Crossfire. Twist also had a strong showing at UkeSA, and phantasy kept up his good form, meaning Team Darkstyle won’t be afraid to really lock horns with Reason in close-quarter combat.To conclude, I think this match is probably going to Team Darkstyle. They have the teamwork, confidence and skill to go far in this tournament. On the other hand, Reason Gaming will be playing with a stand in and a relatively new player to the team, meaning they are definitely going to have their work cut out. Even so, if they really pull together and play on form they might just about edge it, although it would be a very close game. Final prediction: 2-0 to Team Darkstyle. |

The EPS has a rule that the team has to be atleast 60% UK.
With Davy the team would only be 40% UK, so unfortunately he was the one who had to step out.
They did it on purpose :p
