2008 kicks off with another edition of the prestigious CODQCUP, the first time Call of Duty 4 will be played, which is once again giving away some fantastic prizes to the lucky winners. Due to the huge amount of interest in the new game, the organisers have decided to expand the size of the cup to a massive 256 teams, in order to accommodate the increase in demand as best as possible.
In the most recent edition of the cup, held in August 2007, Logitech.fi managed to clinch victory in a nail-biting finale against an on-form Serious-Gaming., winning 5 free tickets to Wonderbase LAN, which was held towards the end of the year. Both teams return this time around and will be looking to progress far into the tournament; however they will encounter stiff resistance from the likes of TEK9, oXmoze and DIE, who will of course have similar ambitions.
Due to the huge amounts of singups, the teams will have to progress through two individual group-stages, whereupon they will enter a double elimination bracket accommodating 32 teams until only one remains.
