This weekend the absolute elite of Quake IV have gathered at the Multiplay i32 LAN in Newbury, United Kingdom to compete in the $20,000 Quake tournament sponsored by Intel. With $5,500 reserved for first place, some of the finest Quake players from the United States, the Netherlands, Poland and Sweden will be going head to head in what is expected to be a thrilling competition.
Although the future of Quake IV did not look bright when it was announced that the WSVG was no more, the i32 are expected to be a spectacular event, with big names such as Toxic, serious.av3k, EG DaHang, EG chance, PURRI, dignitas GaRpY, fnatic.Cypher, fnatic.2GD and draven all present to compete in this $20,000 26 player tournament.
