In just five days from now the 2008 edition of the French gaming event Maxlan will be going live in the Centre Des Congres in Epinal, France. With approx € 10,410 in cash and hardware prizes for Call of Duty 4 alone, a total of 24 teams will be going head to head in the groupstages on Saturday.
The 24 teams entering the tournament will be divided into four groups of six teams each, with the top4 of each group advancing to the second groupstage. This groupstage will consist of four groups, each featuring four teams. The top2 teams of these groups will advance to the Maxlan single elimination playoff bracket.
On the current teamlist we find the recent SLAP.dk finalists Button Bashers, i34 winners LowLandLions, the new SPEED-LINK line-up and the Czech nEophyte team. Also amongst the registered team's are some of the biggest names in France, including crack clan, Team ZelLion and outsiders don'Touch, oXmoze and WebOne.
