LAN79 - Introduction

This weekend we see the crème de la crème of the European Call of Duty scene travel to the magnificent France for the first real test for many teams in a long time. With the first big prizepurse up for grabs, multiple European top teams have decided to attend LAN79.

However controversy around the event sparked when the organisation decided to lower the prize purse one week before the event because they did not reach the amount of registrations they were hoping for. This resulted in Dutch based ButtonBashers deciding they will not attend as they will be moving their team to the Belgian LAN FATLAN instead, where other top Benelux teams are also present. We were also informed that fnatic will not be attending due to the prize purse dropping and the price for attending being too high.

Due to the recent line up changes, SPEEDLINK will also not attend the event.

Here is the prize purse which can be earned at LAN79:

COD4 Pro Tournament:

1. €2,250 + 1 Ticket for the next Lan79 + 1 DediGames PRO 3 months
2. €1,125 + 1 DediGames PRO 2 months
3. €375 + 5 PC25 Seinnheiser + 1 DediGames PRO 1 months

As you can see, a combined cash purse of 3750 € to play for.
