ESL Major Series Season 3

ESL Major Series Season III is getting ready to begin at full speed and so is our coverage.

At first there will be two single elimination qualifier rounds. Teams that got qualified for the first one will be put ramdonly to the bracket and the eventual winners will advance to the second qualifier. The same method is repeated but the winner goes now to the playoffs instead of another qualification round. In group stage, the 24 teams will be split into groups of six as the winner gets a spot in double elimination playoffs while 2nd and 3rd teams will face in relegation round for a spot in the playoffs.

Teams are also required to have an external program running while playing in this tournament. This program is called ESL Aequitas and it will be used from group stages onwards.

Also, none or quite a few of the teams wouldn't sign-up if there wasn't enough money involved. ESL was kind enough to double up the prize money from Season II up to 3.000€ giving the number one team 1.500€, second 900€ while the third one will have to get along with 600€.
