If i'm not wrong the most simple way to do that is replacing the sky textures from your cod4 for a green image, then you record the frags and use a vegas effect called green chroma key, that lets you replace all what is green in the video that u recorded, for another video that you place in an upper track of the project (in this case a video showing a night sky, dunno if he did it with after effects) then u get the frag with a dark sky =D
