This is a premiere for TEK9Cinema right here. It's the first movie from South America that we're adding and it's a really good one.
In FragFest you will see what the South American scene is capable of.
Statement by creak:
"Well, first of all I'll present myself: I'm creak, a 15 years old cod4 player from Argentina.
About the movie: Frag Fest is a CoD4 movie featuring players from 4 countries of South America: Chile, Colombia, and most of the frags from Argentina and Uruguay, that I made in my loads of free time. I'm not a professional moviemaker but I decided to make this movie in order to show some of our players best frags and for those who don't know that cod4 is also played in this part of the world :D
I worked in this movie for like 2 months, the main reason of this delay is that getting frags here in SA is one of the hardest things that I can ever ask for! (80% of the featured players were personally contacted by me via msn or xfire) just because nobody here read forums.
If you carefully watch the movie you will notice some edition errors I guess, but I put all my effort in the making of Frag Fest. (i.e I get rly frustrated trying to make a perfect mask with the soldier at 3:42 but I can't never get it, I fell rly sorry about that :P). But I had to stop here because I fulled my HD with frags and making this movie turns me away from my active CoD4 team and also because I want to work in another projects.
I recorded the frags with Fraps but in a very special form so if I'm not wrong you will don't nottice any bad recorded or with low fps frag (except the freecams dunno why).
Hope you will enjoy watching how do southamericans play cod4 :P

lol? i never readed any tutorial :S what are you talking about? i just try every effect in the frags to learn using vegas, it's all from my imagination, not from any tutorials, vegas is very easy to use.
and i worked VERY hard to find NOT overused music, i downloaded a lot of movies from here to ensure that i'm not using any music again, in fact indestructible (wich you were hearing in the first 10s as you said) from disturbed is a relatively "new" song of disturbed and it wasn't used in any movie, europe (yeah the whole band, not even a song) wasn't used in any cod4 or 2 movie, same with to be loved from papa roach. are you talking me about doom2 fragmovies?. i think it's time to start giving REAL ratings instead of 10/10 or 1/10 saying REALLY stupid things such as i stop watching the movie after 10 seconds because of the overused music, but in fact, you are hearing a new song from a band that nobody used yet in a movie.
i accept that the movie is overedited, i just tried to make it seems like a movie that i really worked on to leave on all the viewers a good first impression, but i'll not accept stupid comments like overused music because i searched in all the famous gaming websites for fragmovies and i downloaded them, readed their soundtrack, etc. it's time to start giving real scores and not judging the movie because "X" made it imo. |

terrible movie. Got bored in about 10 seconds then gave up watching it half way through. The music just didn't work with any of the frags, was overedited to the extreme (sometimes you couldn't even see the kills) and the majority of the teams you were playing seemed to be cod4.wars pcw skill level. 3/10 |

#51 if you actually gave an honest rating, you wouldn't say that i used overused songs, because you sound like you are searching for any error to give less rate to my movie, in fact there are no overused songs in this movie, it's one of the things that i most worked to make the movie as original as i can. please find any cod movie that already used this songs and then i'll accept that i used overused music, but if you said "overused music" it's because you actually have a movie in your hd that already used my music and you can name it now, if not, you are not honestly judging the movie.
"0% sync to music", other of the things that i most worked. i'll give you some examples if you don't get it, 1:16 to 1:32, 1:45, 2:05 to 2:09, 2:15 to 2:32, 2:43 to 2:50, 2:53 to 3:00, these are just SOME examples, if you don't consider that as synching the frags and effects with the music, it's just because you are not honestly judging the movie.
just look at your first post and watch the movie again. you criticized things that aren't true. i'm not waiting you to say "10/10" i just want to read honest comments, if someone think the movie is 1/10 it's ok for me, but give REAL reasons of why the movie is 1/10.

erm i made 1 movie which took me like 7 days why should i even dare to think i´m "someone" in the moviemaking scene lol. I never watched any tutorials just learning by doing ppl just try to hard sometimes and this movie shows it clearly.

not bad movie for the first time, some crazy frag(like the doublenoscope at 3:49). Music is ok. Missed the gunsounds, and sometime its overedited, like everyone said. And next time try to make a playerbar to a corner of the movie, and write there the name of the players, not into the center of the movie.

this were the frags I want to see in movies , multiple takedown's and not 10 minutes of a scope with wallbanging 95% of the shots.
Overedited? I liked it , some nice effects I never saw before in other movies so GJ again.
Only It looked like the movie was lagging a little bit, can be me or the viewer but okay NP.

Well, just watched the movie...
Nowadays it's a basic fact that the top fragmovies are not overedited, overeffected.
BUT! Imo, this movie was great, I liked it. I think a movie made by first time always has some problems, negativ scenes but oh come'on.
Creak, u made the effects really spectacular, only annoyed me 2 times in the movie maybe. The frags are okay, some of them really nice (the double nozoom on strike... omg... ).
About the player's names in the centre, it's very rare nowadays, almost every1 uses playerbars but I liked them too and the font whas really cool (btw what's that font u uses?).
The biggest problem I think was the missing of the ingame-sound, next time watch 4 that.
So, anyway, I liked it, good job for a First Movie, next time look out 4 the overediting , especially when we can't see the frags because of the effects and the in-game sound.

yeah i thought in using a playerbar but i thought that was very common in community movies, so i tried to do like the player nicks go around the screen :P but next time i'll do a playerbar and implement ingame sound for sure. and i'll also apply no effects while the frag is made

Hey come on guys, quit raging creak. Considering he's 15 (no offence) and this is his first movie, it's a damn good effort. I definitely couldn't have done as much when I was that old.
On the plus side: great frags, nice music.
On the minus side: a bit over-edited at times.
From creak's above comments, I can tell he (or she) put a lot of effort into this (downloading other movies, checking soundtracks). Good job mate, keep it up and hope to see another movie from you in the future! 8/10. |
