After entering and winning the TEK9Cinema "In The Spotlight"-Contest with a shortened version, eSuba-player Mazarini finally completed his work.
Statement by Mazarini:
"Hey (: It's finally done! I want to apologize for 1 bug that isn't my fault. 1 frag of deady is missing ingame-sounds, it just disappears
in vegas and i cant do anythign with it :P

Very disappointing... First of all, 730MB for a 12 minute movie?... So for that I can only say the quality sucked, at least the effort, anyone can use 8Mbps for a movie... but it not even acceptable when you use x264 and can at least go down to 4 or 5 Mbps for a 1280x720 movie, and press for a better file size.
All the clips seem to have been extracted without the awp-fix, making all the sniper frags looks bad, because they all were played with awp-fix (probably), and gives "false witness" to the frags. Talking about sniper frags... there were way to many 1shots, it got boring.
The colour effects used for the "default" setting were too dark and it was hard to disambiguate stuff on, especially vacant, but other maps too. |

sick fragmovie, how u place custom-sky? so many ppl here says low compression etc, but it's 12 mins with very good framerate. I liked almost everything, maybe this sky is too dark but its very nice idea. Maybe Aurora Borealis had better effects etc, but u made so many things... u started half-year ago?

The magic word is "chroma keyer" which basically lets you turn certain colors of the maps into other colors :D It´s "easy" to use on the sky because on most maps the sky is different from everything else

About the size: I already said it be prepared movies will get bigger in the future x264 is almost the max compression value ppl say it won´t get much better than x264. The movie was recorded in a real high resolution and you said the quality is "crap" for that filesize ffs its not!
Reason for filesize:
1) 50Fps
2) really high quality.
60mb/min is a lot , that´s right but you won´t get real high quality results under 50mb/min even with x264 @ 50fps
Whocares if its 720 mb in size when almost everyone has 10+ mbit connections and there are good mirrors? I downloaded the video in 4 or 5 min from the ninthgaming svr so where´s the problem to wait? You can smoke a cigarette , make coffee or get a shower during that time
About the colors: Well it was actually dark but too dark..? maybe just a bit.. depends on your screen i have brightness of my screen on 50% and it was still "not too dark" for me

just want to add:
i spent a lot of time and tryed to do something special with quality ( it could be shame didnt try to make a very high render quality after i used 1600x1200 and avidemo 200 when recorded frags ) a lot of movies 6-7 minutes long have 300-400 MB and its ok for you ? use simple math.
And if you have bad internet or something you can always watch a stream like i guess you always did
about sniper fix. "gagarin" help us how to implement a new skies into maps. and because for some reasons its didnt applied sniperfix
We still experimenting with new skies and i put nearly everywhere dark/night sky, thats why are colors dark and movie colors isnt colorfull like on mostly movies. it was done for atmosphere
and i saw somewhere dunno if it was on tek9 comment: without sync but its still good.
Its not synced? nearly every frag/transitions or i remember a jump, hit or just a every shot somewhere in game was synced with music. it wasnt synced to much with effects ( but i think it was enough, not like in aurora or another movies, but still ) i tryed to keep frags without effects, so you can rly see the frags and not just blink blink blink, end of frag. that was my vision of fragmovie. frags supplemented with effects, not inversion. someone like it , someone not (:

ok my reveiw on the movie
itnro: 9/10. the song was not my cup of tea but the cereal bowl falling down was awsome :DDD
frags: 9,5/10. I mean WOW amazing some werel uck other just skills. but like someone said the fix was weird but still the best frags I´ve ever seen in a cod4 movie
music 8.5/10. music was nize but I would like to see more trance in cod4 movies nice anyway.
colors 8.5/10. a little bit dark but it was vieweble and the sky was definettly something new and it was awsome imo.
sound 9.5/10. almost perfect.
quality: 10/10. nothing more to say :PP
outro 10/10. I was still in class when I saw the movie and I laughed my ass of. that proning guy was genious and that outro made my day
overall 9/10. its was amazing and the best cod4 movie out there and really enjoyable, really god job mazarini (:
