In what is a special edition of the TEK9 Week of News I will be taking over from Bob "bcrbo" Van de Voorde whilst he is away on vacation. With a number of teams addressing me about recent changes over the past week this article will span from September 12th to September 18th.
The relatively new organization of Diabulus Gaming have branched out into Call of Duty 4 with the addition of The BIG, a team that is based within the United Kingdom. The organization stated ambitious goals for the team, expecting good placements in both offline and online ventures, something the team are hoping they can act upon successfully.
The team have stated that they will be representing their organization immediately within a variety of online leagues and cups including ESL, CyberGamer and Clanbase alongside the major UK LAN events. The team can be seen already signed up to the CGZ LAN in Newcastle and are optimistic about their placement.
Team captain Charlie "SenttY" Cripps gave the following statement to Diabulus Gaming:Charlie "SenttY" Cripps
David "honesi" Robinson
James "Sh0x" Mullis
Steven "T ayls" Taylor
Dan "nasteHH" Cripps
Harry "bx!" Frost
Visualize Your Enmity, or VYE as they are more commonly known have recently made a subtle line-up change. After what the team considered to be a reasonable performance at Insomnia43, the UK's largest LAN event, the team fell prone to activity issues stemming from scope Matt "KiLzR" Barber after recent changes in his lifestyle.
After a few weeks it became apparent that the team could no longer function in this way so set about finding an alternative, and after much trial and error found what they needed in Gary "sinner" Wilson. During his trailing phase he showed a level of commitment that was unparalleled and alongside his numerous LAN attendances with various mix teams spanning across the whole of Europe it was an obvious choice for the side.
Out of all his appearances he made his name at the VNUK LAN in Glasgow where he was awarded the MVP award and has since been committed in finding a suitable team for his play style. The team have expressed the intention to attend the next instalment of Insomnia44 this November at the Telford International Center.
New addition Gary "Sinner" Wilson gave the following statement to VYE:Paul "WELLSY" Wells
Josh "Jay" Jones
James "intl" Bonett
Michael "Mike" Bird
Gary "Sinner" Wilson
Andrew "Andehh" Yates (Backup)
Originally named coregaming the side has gone through several changes within it's one year lifespan. During its infancy the team, albeit slightly different to the current line-up, managed to gain access to academy preparing for its advance into pre-invite. Unfortunately it wasn't meant to be, seeing the team six months later folding on the brink of success. Shortly after disbanding the team decided to give it another go, joining the organization of efuzion until soon after they were given an offer they simply could not resist from the newly formed organization of Divi5ion.
Unfortunately for the young side the atmosphere missed a vital element that was present at the team's birth, forcing the team to make part ways on mutual ground with Anthony "zontix" Baker and Zack "unijoux" Lloyd leaving the team with a hard decision. Deciding not to repeat past mistakes the remaining players decided to take on the complicated task of rebuilding the team.
Not long after their departure the team welcomed the addition of old friend Paul "decks" Busse, then just four days later the team stumbled upon Dawid "pukiz" Kuder who was a perfect fit. The team are planning to attend Insomnia44 this November, starting payments over the next few weeks.
Team captain Scott "hav0k" Crawley gave the following statement:Charlie "Welchh" Welch
Scott "hav0k" Crawley
Paul "decks" Busse
Luke "LuKe" Dainton
Dawid "pukiz" Kuder
Soon after I43 a group of young British hopefuls decided to form a new side to compete within the upcoming onslaught of competitions, cups and offline events within the United Kingdom. Initially three old acquaintances got together, Matt "MattjA" Loftus, Ben "BEN" Ashton and Darren "haV" Black, to begin building the foundations of the team. Soon after the trio formed new allegiances with Bradley "Dynasty" Smith, an individual most of the team had dealt with during past events. Finally, after an intense trailing period Grant "Spazykii" Wallace stood apart from the other individuals, displaying excellent in-game talent alongside an outstanding ability to gel with the team.
Little did the team know that none other than Ben "BEN" Ashton was a leading Manager within the quickly advancing organization of Memia, a bomb that was quickly dropped upon the team. Soon later, after many brief discussions the side found themselves with an offer they couldn't refuse brandishing the Memia tag for all to see.
The team plan on advancing through the scene as quickly as possible, competing within the up-coming Cybergamer leagues, ESL, Esports Heaven and Insomnia44 this up-coming November.
Team captain Darren "haV" Black gave me the following statement:Matt "MattjA" Loftus
