The Crossfire Experience - Question 6

Who do you feel really performed far better than expected? And who did worse?

Tom "D1ablo" Newman (Reason Gaming): "I think Lighters and Duff really stepped it up this event. They seriously took it with storm. I honestly think that me and Tim didn't really make an impact ingame, but we did a lot of stuff tactically at half times and before a big match to ensure us the win. Looking at other teams I would say that the biggest underperformance of the event would have to be from the NCE guys, mostly because they were bigged up a lot during the online build up to the event and they were prepared a lot for this event. Something that I hope the community have taken from this event is that it's really going to be the same guys at the top until the newer teams gain the LAN experience needed to hold their nerve when it counts. A prime example would be Hostile Faction. They performed super this event and were really prepared, but both maps against fnatic they were 11-6/7 up and then we saw some grade A bottling. Any of the top 4 teams in that situation would have most probably shut the game out, but that's experience for you."

Amir "George" Hajar (Team Impact): "Who perfomed better? Well, you can't say Infinity Skills didn't exceed the expectations. A lot of people called them onliners and they shut up the critics. Who did worse? I can't really point at anyone, because I don't have the rank to do that (fake!). I think Team Thermaltake and mTw didn't find the way to play as usual."

Max "mAx" Hartmann (n!faculty): "I think no one really played bad. I think most teams played like they were expected. Maybe Dignitas didn't play that good according to some, but all the other teams did not play that bad I think."

Jim "ownRrr" De Ronde (Rodcad Gaming): "Better than expected: Hostile Faction, corgz and Reason Gaming. Worse than expected: Loaded and mTw."

Adam "vanner" Vanner (NCE.i3D): "Better: Infinity Skills (wow), Hostile Faction (3 months ago they were rubbish, now look at them!), Corgz (amazing guys, gl in TCM! - Inside joke with cozje!).

Worse: mTw. These guys are amazing in their own environment. It's disappointing to see them do so bad when it matters. Dignitas. Lost more games than they won. They can say they held back stuff, but it's really no excuse for a team that should be coming top 4."

Jakub "B33MN" Grotowski (1stCav): "Infinity definately showed some amazing skill and all I can say is: 'Sorry, hunboys, we definately trust you now.' Who did worse? Well, we did. Also, I think that NCE.i3D could do a lot better. But, if you ask me who did exactly the same as I expected, I would answer: mTw. For sure."

iNFiNiTY*SKiLLS impress at CIC7 and silence their critics.

Joni "sarine" Laakso (4Sypher): "iNFiNiTY*SKiLLS did good, Dignitas should have been higher, but what can you do with those brackets, and OX failed."

Darren "wannabe" Borrow (Team Infused): "Hostile Faction did pretty well to get as far as they did, granted they only beat mTw, but people really should give them a lot more respect for that because mTw are still a big team and a big name. Dignitas should have done a lot better in the groups and were really lucky to even get out of the groups after losing two games. I'm sure they will sort it for iSeries though!"

Johan "miRACLE" Gärtner (H2k Gaming): "I expected Dignitas to go far, but this is CoD4 :). Infinity Skills and Hostile Faction did better than I expected."
