After about 1,5 weeks of voting, all the results are in and TEK9 can give 16 lucky people and/or teams their awards for the 2011 season that saw a great many of ups as well as downs. Whether or not all winners will be appreciated as such is up for debate, but the public has spoken!
After another year of competition, another year of counting the votes has resulted in the belief that the community is still strongly present and again most of you casted a vote on whoever you thought deserved it most in our fifteen categories. There will be some surprises amongst the winners as well as some winners you thought a shoe-in. Regardless of the winners, the point of the awards is to look back at another year of Call of Duty eSports at its finest.
it's not that I don't want to, I just feel it would be a bit too biased when I write about myself, especially when it's related to winning something :) hope you can understand that
Stormy was clearly the best this year, and an absolute winner...Personaly I dont like him very much but he was the best this year, thers no denying it)
I'm not saying you posted on YT and said vote for me, but your videos have made you very respected and give you a massive cover audience, you were not the best player this year and you know it, and I'm not saying your not a great player FYI it's just you didn't deserve this award.
@ Obama I'm not saying that, It's just unfair for someone who deserved the award aka, Stormy/ono/any Anexis player. Don't mean to sound like an asshole x(
All those awards aren't based on the real statistic they should be based. This is more like a popularity test because you don't get votes for your skills/achievements, you get your votes due to beeing popular :)
couldnt agree more some players shouldnt be even top 5 in some of them, but none the less as you say zino popularity wins. as stephen quoted earlier agree with some but not all
Did phan ask his youtube subs to vote for him? Dont understand how he could win, no offense but imo there were alot better players in 2011 who played & won more.
How am I hating? Think alot of people agree with me that there were others who deserved it MORE. And the thing about his subscribers was just a silly laughable note.
Still dont understand why the likes of Metuz wernt even put up to vote for the best community member, but despite that seems to be all good, couple i dont agree with but hey.. is gonna happen :D
it's my bad :) I did it wrong; should have (and will regarding 2012) made a separate award for shoutcasting of the year (including kaos people, yourself, metuz) and included fekuj (for example) in community member...this would have been more fair imo
What? He wouldn't. Certain people have done far more valuable work than any shoutcaster in the scene. Seanza and Tomzki are two just to name some.
I'm not trying to take anything away from the casters and streamers, they're all doing a fantastic job. But without the people behind the tournaments, leagues and events who are giving the players a place to showcase their skills they wouldn't even have matches worth working with.
As Bob said, a shoutcaster award would have been far better.
Also a note, this is nothing to do with me not getting it, I don't deserve to even be on the list. Won't go into the reasons why, but I don't.
