Introduction One of Cod4's most beloved movie makers is back, this time with the legendary SMG player miRACLE. With respected movies such as Extazy and Deluxe under his belt, the community has been eager to see what Abbie has had in store. After 10 months hard work Abbie's and mIRACLE have delivered an impressive 8 minute movie for us all to enjoy in fullscreen glory, with a cold drink, and maybe some crisps.
Frags If you weren't aware of miRACLE's smg skills you sure will after 'mirMACHINE'. We jump straight in at the deep end with an incredible 4k against Reason and the standard continues throughout the whole 8 minutes. Abbie has done a great job in mixing up the frags, there's a great balance between the different types of action. It's difficult to pick out my favourite frags but if I had to pick a couple; the insane 4k 1:07, reaction no scope 1:04, scope ace 3:10 also ak one shot at 3:48. miRACLE has collected some truly remarkable demos!
Editing The movie begins with dramatic music, action filled fly-overs and players dying left right and center. During the madness quotes from well known players slide on, praising miRACLE as a player, and a person. As nice as an addition these quotes were, they were difficult to read due to a combination of diffusion and colour choice. The intro concludes with an impressive 3D title and SMG clutching a Swedish flag which was a nice touch.
The most notable part of 'mirMACHINE' are the outstanding transitions Abbie has created using LCeffects. Each frag seamlessly flows to the next one and more importantly it didn't seem out of place. The weapons seemed to have a cell shaded quality to them, combined with the rich colours it gave the movie a unique visual look. Most of the effects were subtle and suitable which is imperative to a movie of this length.
Abbie has stuck to some pretty generic rock songs with exception to l-estasi Dell-Oro. The first two tracks were quite linear in pace and didn't provide many sync points, but they felt pretty fitting and suited the action. The last song being the most unique was also the worst choice; combining slow motion with smg clips just doesn't work. Half the skill of playing smg is in speed and movement, but in slow motion we are unable to see that. The song was cool, and original but would have been more suited for scope/ak frags.
Conclusion
Abbie has definitely lived up to his previous standards. Though I don't believe it caught that all important atmosphere and spirit "mirMACHINE" is still a great movie filled with creativity, orginality and overall great frags. All the hard work has paid of for the most part and im sure miRACLE is more than happy with the end result.

top notch
Nah don't agree on that tbh, especially in slow motion you saw the great aim of miracle and it fit perfectly to the song imo.
XD

Lack of macro synch bothered me. Action didn't follow the highs and lows of the music. Biggest culprit here were the slowly moving free cam transitions that really broke the rhythm of the movie -> no atmosphere.
The transitions themselves were nice even if they didn't sit well in the overall movie.
The visual look was another problem. It was fairly messy and all over the place. When a movie maker changes the look of the game this much the outcome needs to be coherent and it needs to give character to the movie.
