how is it retarded when there have been 17 events (okay you can't attend the local ones) and you only participated in 3 of them? Had you played in at least two more and gotten your usual finish, you could have easily made it to the TOP 10 or perhaps even TOP 5...
i know ur trying to make a factual list with actual results etc etc, but its simply not possible in COD, u can see urself now, the list makes no sense at all, teams that are ranked 15th would rape teams that are ranked 2nd etc (just an example)

Whereas 6 months ago, we'd see online cups where you were all participating.
This explains it in part, had LowLandLions played in three online cups and you as well and you would have gotten TOP 8 in all of them (which is a light grade), you would have been neatly put in the TOP 5 and at the same time taken points away from the "lesser" teams that are now online...as was stated several times, activity is the main yardstick by which it's being assessed...none of the traditional top teams played a lot, except for Anexis, and are now not even in the TOP 10, yet you cannot blame that on the system.
What would you prefer, I make one where all of the top teams are just given +15 points for being a team everyone expects to beat? That's not how it works...I'm sure that in the next 3 months, where there will be huge online cups as well as events, you will see a more balanced out ranking
The list makes perfect sense in terms of teams being marked based on their activity and results. If a team is active, they deserve to be placed higher than a team who is less active.
no? its the Top Ranking for the best teams, not the top ranking who plays the game the most. Im not a fanboy of OK, far from there, its just ridiculous they are placed 15th, whereas myrevenge is number 9 lmao
this list actually makes no sense, just because you go to more events doesnt make you better than a team just means you have more support or you are more keen..... :)
Did we not get any points from Dublin then coming 4th losing to infused who came 2nd? Also the various other online cups we played and got at least 12th+? Dont flame just askin
The current lineup of TCM only attended i43. Unless we're counting all the incarnations, and then it's more of an Org top 20 rather than a factual representation of the teams.
EDIT: Whoops, didn't count le_alienware cups but even then over a 100 points is a lot
not really...the things TCM played in, was with the 60% core of their current line-up...they did i43 + 2 x team dignitas cups with mumma, froz, azeo and even skinnn or blackmane...so whereas some results might not been the 100% same as now...the same applies to your MIW team, who have added players
in terms of teams, I always count it as being one team when they have kept a 60% core (3/5 players), same with results of GameLimited being counted as Redbyte..etc

I understand what you are trying to do here BOB and I really like this new Idea. I just don't think we can ignore the skill of each of these teams. Judging only by skill is wrong (like placing fnatic in the list) but this list is too statistical is we all know some of those teams should be higher ranked even though they were a bit more inactive.
Maybe rank only those teams who attented atleast one lan in those 3 months and judge by their skill?
tbh. its actually a nice idea but for me it doesnt make sense just to look at the past 3 months. i would rather check the whole year which will bring a complete different layout to the list. just looking at those events is something that you cant do in my eyes. its an awesome idea. dont get me wrong, i really like this but looking at this list, and the top 10 + comparing it to i.e. g7 CS ranking.
make a mix out of everything with like a monthly rating + a general list for the whole year where all the monthly ones are being summed up.
So update every 3 months, but also give a yearly ranking with it, so u have the best teams of those 3 months in a list, but u can also see the most consistant / best teams over the year
Should do it like that in 2012 ;D
