What is your take on Clanbase, in particular the EuroCups, and the way they’ve let their position as the leading platform for CoD4 competitions slip?
"Well it seems the prizes, over time, got worse, which didn’t appeal to teams anymore. But at that point the Eurocup still had its prestige, teams would want to play in it simply to challenge each other and earn the right to call themselves Eurocup winners. The problem now is that the EC has lost its prestige, its one thing to announce prizes and another to never payout. Teams lose respect, and more recently admin’s have seemed to show little understanding of the scene, they are becoming more and more out of touch and the community is drifting away from viewing the EC as a prestigious tourney."
What are your thoughts on the Vita Nova project?
"Yea fantastic. Really what the community needed at the right time. I brought up similar ideas in 2008, but I never really put the effort into forcing them into fruition, or gaining support for it. At the time we relied heavily on Morg and Kleineman to get the community / leagues going but Morg kinda went AWOL. Since then no one has really stepped up to it and I’m so happy Vanner, Geir, Froster, Kleine, Wiz (and anyone else I missed out) all got involved because there is so much potential in this community.
What people have to realise is if you want something you have to work for it. We can either sitback and play mediocre tournaments online and offline or we can come together and build a game to maybe someday challenge cs 1.6, or at least become as big, if not bigger, than it was in the summer of 2008."
What would you say motivates you and your teammates to play in leagues. Good teams, admins or cashprizes?
"Haha, well I’ve never really seen an admin as being a motivator, though I guess Kleine or Messioso are lovable guys, so yea maybe. Honestly at the start it used to be about getting as far as I could, or trying to get my team’s name up there. Money is always nice, and big cash purses can spur me on a little bit but now, currently, I’d say competition is the biggest motivator. You’re going out there to play teams that have practiced hard and want to win just as badly as you do, and pitting yourself against the best players from the top teams – and coming out on top, is what motivates me to keep playing even to this day."
What is the dream lineup you would love to be in (excluding all of your current teammates)?
Haha well that would have to be: Choobie Lighters Duffer Stevy Myself
What’s your best offline experience or your favorite moment?
"I guess that would have to be CC5. It's the only top EU lan I've won to date and we were massive underdogs against the highflying Button Bashers at the time. People forget we also really convincingly beat Dig at the time, so for us to win 2-0 was really something. Then again, I also really enjoyed both TeX tournaments, the first with Reason, where we just steamrolled the lowerbracket beating MYM and Dig. But I'd still put CC5 above that purely because it was my first and till this date only top eu lan win."

"Really just playing as much as we can together whenever we can. A lot of players and teams I talk to may complain about how little time they had or have, but honestly it’s not about how much time, its about how you use your time. I’ve been in teams where we really just zombied about the server for hours on end, or elected to play war after war, and considered it practice. If you don’t aim for something or put goals in place and look to what areas you need to improve – you won’t improve, no matter how much time you play."
